I'm hoping to see us use a lot of fake jet sweep action with Pollard to stretch the box so that there's some room between the tackles. If we just try to run between the tackle with Elliott, Tampa is going to squeeze down and make it even tougher sledding. If they have to respect the stretch play, we'll have a better chance with the middle runs.

I've been wanting that for years. Pollard was drafted to be the motion rb/wr, but for whatever reason, once he showed he was a legitimate RB as well, they relegated him to a backup RB role.

Well, we did hang with them last year by pretty much conceding we weren't going to run on them, so I can't say we'll do better by playing to their strength. I'm not for abandoning the run ... at least not before seeing how the two-back approach works. If we're hammering into a wall, though, we don't need to keep pounding on it hoping that it will eventually crumble.

For sure. If there is zero run room then don't bang your head into the wall two times and face a 3rd and 8 for all 4 quarters. But the idea of trying to get the run game working and at least try seems reasonable to me. Just hate to see Zeke and Pollard get a combined 10 carries and then Moore throws in the towel and goes mostly pass happy.
