Hey Dallas, the last time y'all won a Super Bowl these draft picks wasn't even born yet.
When I heard him say that, I done the math and he was right. I couldn't even be mad at him. We can't keep holding on to those 5 rings and calling ourselves a historic franchise. We haven't done jack crap in a quarter of a century. So, if we are another team's Super Bowl, I understand that. Because, we keep bragging about wins that happened, a lifetime ago. The five time Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys.
I want us to win another Super Bowl, so we can throw it in these guys faces. Until then, they got us with that unborn draft picks
I get the frustration- I do. We all do. I get as pissed as anyone when things go south and they do often, and likely will again.
Watch my own posts in the in game thread. Pure vitriol when opportunities are missed or feel slighted. Pure
But the Cowboys as pure entertainment value? Owe me ZERO. Nada. They have given me a catalog of memories and moments.
You're dismayed it's been a lifetime since they've won a Lombardi. Ok. We all are.
Take a moment and reflect. What would your fandom have looked like if they had not won big @ all?
Would you have been a Cowboys fan? What drew you in? Why do you react how you do when we fail? Why the animosity for Ownership we all feel? Why do I want to brick my TV when we get screwed by the refs?
I know why. It's because the Cowboys have given me great moments. Some of the most amazingly thrilling sports moments of my lifetime.
You likely feel the same
You want those again. In a way you're still getting them, but it's gone the other way alot to be sure. Maybe you want the better results for your children to witness.
But in the end- it's a game.
Now imagine rooting for another team that hasn't experienced 1/5 of the success you've witnessed cross generations.
That's an Eagles fan sir.
Perspective.
