He's a good veteran presence, especially with a rookie playing LT, but at this point he looks like a back up. He's heavy and slow - that's what happens when you're 40, a big guy, and you miss camp. Nate Newton has been going on about that for weeks, and he would certainly know from his own experience. Father Time remains undefeated.
Expecting him to be All Pro Jason Peters at this point seems unlikely. He's there if we need him. But if we ever have to depend on him to play full time, temper expectations.
