I feel bad for the guy but I can't believe how dumb some of these pro athletes are. If they didn't have football talent, I bet most of them would be bagging groceries. I hope one day they can appreciate how lucky they are and they should hang onto what they have now.

When I hear "severely injured hand" in regards to a fireworks accident, I think of detached fingers. Who knows though, maybe it's not as bad as it sounds. And by "not as bad", I imagine that he'll probably still have to miss the season, but might be able to return next year.

Me too. Either that or you damaged a nerve so severely that it impacts your ability to use your hands.
I'm sorry to hear this. I don't wish this on any player whether they play for a rival or not.

The stories are being updated. The initial reports were that he lost a thumb and some fingers along with skin on his hand.

We're more compassionate then the giants fans are JPP. On their board they are calling him every name in the book. He's been great for them for a few seasons, not so much lately though. won a super bowl or 2 for them.

Eli hasn't been playing lights out the past few years, like JPP. If if happened to Eli they'd wouldn't be trashing him.

I didn't look at the link in the OP, I saw another thread earlier with a different article that didn't have much info yet.

Since the OP himself said that there were conflicting reports about possible fingers missing, I took his word on it.
