No, bradie can loose some weight get down to about 234 and he will be fine. Brooking can backup if he wants too.
4-3 is the way to go im pretty sure,
it also depends on who the defensive coordinator is next year and who the head coach is.
You'd be wrong Joe. The 3-4 is not going to get scrapped so soon, not when so much effort and money has been spent on converting from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Spencer is a former number 1 pick, are you just going to jettison him, after many (myself not included) believe he is on the verge of breaking out? And re-signing Spears is a long shot, but re-signing Spears to play 4-3 DE is a pipedream. DE in a 4-3 is for catalytic players, Spears is solid but he is far from a 4-3 DE (position reserved for the big dollars).
Bradie James would be below average as a MIKE in a traditional 4-3. Can you imagine James as the MLB in a Tampa 2? He would be destroyed. Parcells called James weak as tissue paper when he was drafted (245 lbs), and had him pump up to 255 to play 4-3 OLB, then upwards of 260 to play inside. A 4-3 MIKE needs to be able to play sideline to sidline, against the run & in coverage, hardly James' strength.
And finally, Ware is the best player and the key to the D, limiting him to simply a pass rushing DE would be wasteful.
