If what we all think is gonna happen, does in fact happen, I'd be embarrassed as hell if I was Plow Boy. This is like the owner of a company forcing his do nothing son on some executive, and instructing he/she to show him the ropes....only to have him take your job some day and ultimately fail. Go make your own way in life Plow Boy....you were already handed an announcing gig with ZERO experience, and failed big time....so now you are expecting a fast track to a NFL Head Coaching gig by doing nothing other than coaching a High School Christian School??? Maybe it's just me, but if this does play out, I really would be embarrassed if I were him....have some damn pride. The transparency of this is already being talked about everywhere....and will only get worse.

Why should Jason Witten or anyone else be embarrassed for accepting a job handed on a silver platter? That is backwards. The person, who should be embarrassed, is the one handing the job to someone not qualified to do the job in the first place.

Jerry Jones handed himself the job of general manager without any degree of football executive experience or expertise. He handed Jason Garrett an offensive coordinator position with barely any coaching experience. Then followed up with naming him as his head coach in relatively short order afterwards.

In my opinion, the embarrassment bullseye is centered on Witten's potential boss. Not that it matters. The emotion bounces off him like suction-less nerf darts off a brick wall.

If you know you aren't qualified and have a righteous mindset he wouldn't take the job. You think everybody would? That's a flat out lie

Anyone handed something in a meritocracy should take that position with some acknowledgement...because if it was the other way around, you can best be sure Witten wouldn't be happy.

Witten SHOULD tell Jerry that he'd love to work in a secondary capacity for the Cowboys. And that" HC in waiting" is highly inappropriate for the current coach to have to deal with. At least Witten should tell that to the media.

Lie? lol.

Self-comprehending you are not qualified and having moral integrity does not equate to being embarrassed accepting a job you would not take. The topic is Witten being embarrassed accepting the job.

If he accepts the job, it is likely he thinks he is qualified. If he accepts the job, it is likely he does not feel his integrity is lacking.

Everyone is not Jason Witten. Everyone is not you. Try not making this topic more than what it actually is.

None of this makes any sense if Kellen Moore is the higher why would you hire a young gun coordinator and then hand it off to an unproven tight end two years later?

Something is not adding up here.

Don’t be surprised if Pete Carroll is the head coach.

Are we talking emotions associated with disapproval? Or are we talking about emotion associated with embarrassment?

What you are doing isn't healthy.

Does it surprise you? He was buddies with JG. Like birds on a feather….

I hope he hires Witten as head coach. I have a feeling he would be good at it. Also it would be such fun engaging with all the unhinged crybabies having a conniption and heads exploding.

I agree.
If he's going to get the job eventually,
Give him the job now, and let him fail miserably sooner rather than later.

If Witten is the hc, I'd be shocked. That said, If anyone can come in. And price is all wrong, it's that guy. Witten is HIM. When he played, he was HIM. He's Mr. Cowboy 2.0 . The man is alot like Bill BATES ,from the same college too. Overachieving DOG! A mudder. A lunch pail gym rat dude. No nonsense. He would need a great OC and close trusted assistant to help. I would support Witten but my expectations would be middle of the road in year 1. But again, I'm going to give him all my support. We owe him that. I like that idea better than Kellen Moore by far.

Word salad. Jason should 100 percent be embarrassed taking a job he's not qualified for. Jerry too.

Yup. I have a hunch he's going to be dang good at leading men. If he's asked to be the HC, he will accept.
