Unless you want to answer the question. Witten didn't bring retirement up,the reporter did. Witten won't voletarily talk about retirement until the day he does.
Him being willing to talk about retirement is exactly my point. He should have just said "next question" when asked, otherwise he is showing he is thinking about it and is mentally already retired. Bring on Rico Gathers, Yellow Jacket Witten is done.

If he was thinking about it he would do it. Witten isn't contemplating retirement right now at all Trust me. He answered the reporters question the way he seen fit.

We'll see. I think this is the year he stayed too long in the league.

Jason Witten is, indeed, a rare commodity in the world of pro football. Fifteen years and still loving the game and literally everything it involves. Rico is extremely fortunate to have him available to mentor him. If he's anywhere near able to duplicate what JW does, he'll likely have it made.

Evidently, Rico realizes what a gold mine he has at his disposal, since he mentions JW and what he's learning from him at every turn. It's really a positive aspect of his ongoing development. Surely, the Cowboys should be enabled to prosper from Witten's presence long after he's gone. ;)
