They watch and learn..........Witten is the go to guy.. Slow as hell, topples in traffic but dam......that dude is Dan Bailey money. Period.Doesnt need to start, we dont get medals for that, time for other tes to show what they have or draft more
Witten looked old against DenverStill getting open. Still getting it done.
They need to stop the jet sweeps and screens to Switzer. At this point, teams are keying in on that because that's all he's been brought in to do (Whitehead 2.0). They need him to spell Beasley a good 5-10 snaps a game and play true slot. Then and only then will the defenses play him honest enough and open the door for the Philly special (screen pass for YAC...boosting Wentz's YPA...sorry Risen Star).Switzer is going to get more involved in the passing game here in the coming weeks, though.

'Tis true. I forgot about that. I'm probably just a drunk Dak fan at this point, but his razzle-dazzle skills are something that seem so natural to him that I don't recall seeing it with any QB in a long while. Years ago, I'd cringe if I saw a QB doing some of that stuff out of fear for a fumble, but it's become common place for the Dak-lead Cowboys. If I'm not mistaken, isn't that the exact same play design we used after Pitt last year (double-fake).Except the misdirection off of that gave us the Elliott receiving TD today. That was a beautiful play call.
Running routes and catching balls I am in agreement, blocking we can have a long thread about later this season. Love him just starting to see some frayed edges that started several years ago with his blocking. We don't have a TE on the roster who deserves snaps over Witten. It's not really close, either.
I wouldn't mind him losing snaps if we want to try the two slot-WR packages a *little* bit more, but even that's not something I think we do more than throw in to give teams something else to prepare for and have to cover.
