Sorry if this is a repost I didnt see it anywhere:

“If people say I won’t play second fiddle, just be on the lookout for who I might be lined up across on the other side next season,” Walker said. “And if you look at that, then why couldn’t it have been like that in Denver?”

Interesting.

He must be talking about playing with Greg Camarillo.

If you read between the lines one could justify that he is talking about possibly playing second fiddle to TO.

Upon being released by the Broncos today, he gave an interview... one of the quotes from that interview really caught my attention:

“If people say I won’t play second fiddle, just be on the lookout for who I might be lined up across on the other side next season,” Walker said. “And if you look at that, then why couldn’t it have been like that in Denver?”

Well, let's think about that quote for a second; at this point, the 4 contenders for Walker's services are reportedly the Cowboys, the Iggles, the Skins and the Bucs... well, if he came to Dallas, he'd be "second fiddle" to TO, but who do the Iggles, Skins and Bucs have who would make Walker play "second fiddle"??

Answer-- he'd be the lead receiver for all of those teams... so to me, this quote is a veiled hint from Walker that he's Dallas-bound...

Edit-- I see I'm not the first to comment on this... d*mn, I hate being a reposter... mods, feel free to merge this with the already-existing thread...

Did the Bucs cut Galloway or something? He didn't work out here, but he has done OK in Tampa.

Well, if he were to land up in Washington, I think he would be the second WR to Moss. He'd probably be on about equal footing with Galloway in Tampa. But yeah, he'd definitely be the number 1 with the Eagles.

Moss fell off quite a bit last year, but he also had a lot of injury problems. But yeah, he would be 2nd to a healthy Moss.

Personally, I think that there is a real shot that Walker ends up in Dallas.

As long as Walker's knee is o.k., he would be a great complementary receiver to TO.

But that's one big "if" on Walker's health. Maybe JJ has already started his due diligence on that.

I think $$$$ will be the issue. I don't believe Dallas will offer him what he expects.

We will see...

Whether Walker would be 2nd fiddle to Moss or not is debatable, but do you think Walker would view himself as second fiddle to Moss? I don't think so. Therefore his statement can lead us to narrow down the teams to the ones where he thinks (in our opinion) he'd be the "2nd fiddle".

I don't think so. The article says they tried to trade him for his current contract and had no bidders, so I don't see money being a problem.

Definitely makes me think he's referring to playing for the Cowboys and playing 'second fiddle' to Owens.

If he realizes that his career is at a crossroads and that he needs to prove he's still 'got it', then I can see it happening - if he checks out physically.

But if somebody ponies up big bucks, I'm sure he'll take it and run.

And Tampa Bay has plenty of cap room to outbid for his services.
