I wish they would change the stats. They have the ability to do so now.

It's been done, but some sources aren't as good as others. We're top 5 in both yards allowed and points allowed per drive. We're #1 in shortest TOP per drive. (see Football Outsiders)

We're also 4th in defensive passer rating. (see Pro Football Reference)

Of course it means very little after two weeks, but it's why we're 2-0.

I agree. With the amount of statistics being analyzed and utilized in today's NFL, there's really no good reason.

We should be hitting playoff stride by mid-season. I honestly believe this defense - if healthy - can be as good as the 2000 Ravens and the 2002 Buccaneer Super Bowl years.

We should be hitting playoff stride by mid-season. I honestly believe this defense - if healthy - can be as good as the 2000 Ravens and the 2002 Buccaneer Super Bowl years.

I still don't understand why people torture themselves with ESPN.

They're like a garage band...........

Them, the NFL Network and just about all the national media. They don't watch all the games and create their perception of it based on cursory looks at the stats or what they heard from someone else and each of them perpetuating that perception which then becomes reality from fans who say such things like this or Romo sucks or Murray will thrive with the Eagles.

Jerkski has been deeply traumatized by Cowboy defenses when he was quarterbacking in the 70's.

It can't be a good feeling to earn a single digit passer rating in playoff games. I'm surprised he can even watch the Cowboy defense without getting the shakes and hiding behind his sofa.

Maybe that's why he thought Lee only 'flashed' in the game, he only saw him when he was peeking out from behind the couch.

In casual football conversation, I can tell who watches the media and who watches football. Almost immediately.
