Jaws a Jerk

Oh yea I just remembered. Think our boy Michael Irvin will have something to say tomorrow night about Romo and the Cowboys being in the top 5? Heck yes he will!!!!!!!

He just posted his Power rankings;
1) Colt
2) Balt
3) S.D.
4) N.E.
5) Bears

After our last 5 games don't you think we should be mentioned somewhere in that group???

That doesn't surprise me. He has an IV of Haterade pumping into his veins 24/7.

On both teams best day, NE is better, at least for now. Romo is not Tom Brady just yet.

BTW, Newman would never come close to covering Watson, as he is a 6'6" TE
Its not much different than when Newman (except for 1 long gain) owned Burress who is 6'5. except Watson is slower and also its not Romo vs Brady but Romo vs the Pats D which just isnt the same D it was 2 years ago because of injuries. they will miss Seau big time who was big in helping them stop the run

I don't think we are top 5. I still think Indy, Chicago, San Diego, New England and Baltimore would all beat us on a neutral field. If we beat the Giants though, we should definitly be in there.

Personaly I would have the Cowboys in the top 5. I'd take the Bears or NE out but I wont argue with jaws top 5 at all. I just dont understand how you dont think we're a top 5 team but if we beat a beat up Giant team that is playing awful at the time we should definitly be in the top 5. Not arguing the fact that we should be a top 5 right now but how does beating the Giants makes us one?

IMO, all 5 of those teams are better than us.

I think we maybe better then the bears at this point in the season, but I agree with the rest.

I think we deserve credit. But Chicago has only has one bad loss, and that was to Miami. They played NE tough.

Beat NY, then talk top 5.

He'll never give the cowboys credit. All those early predictions about the eagles being a better team without T.O, and how T.O would destroy the cowboys arent coming to fruition. And can't help matter either when Irvin throws it in his face every week.

screw jaws!!!!!!

he is still seeing Stars from DoomsDay II, so give him a break...

:lmao:

2nd time I've seen this. I dont understand why beating a Giants team that is beat up and playing awful right now makes us a top 5 team. I'm not arguing the fact wether we're a top 5 team or not. I can see both sides of it. I just cant see why beating the Giants puts in that top 5 and takes another team out.

Watson is a TE, not a WR. Newman would not be covering him.

Road division games in december are never, ever, ever easy

They use Watson in the slot as a WR. If we're in the nickel Newman often plays in the slot.

True and putting together a decent win streak also shows dominance.

Something we have lacked lately :starspin

Even he knows that without McFlubb they are an average team at best.

The Giants will be up for us and desperate. It will not be an easy game. Based upon record alone, you can't dispute his rankings. I think we take it one week at a time and the rankings will take care of themselves.

I think it's a good list, and I think Jaws is the best in the business and loses more football knowledge when he cuts his fingernails than a lot of people here will ever accrue in their lifetime. We have 1 quality win against the Colts, that's it. Carolina is not as good as their record indicates so I won't count that. The AFC is a much deeper conference and all those teams have earned their spot in the top 5 by playing and beating tougher opponents.

How do you figure we are 3-1 vs the super AFC including the only team that could manage to stop the Colts.

3-1 vs the "Super" AFC? The Texans and Titans qualify as "Super" teams? The Colts game was a big win, I'll give you that, but "super" is not the right word to describe those other two franchises.. unless its followed by the word "****ty"

Nothing wrong with that list because it really doesn't mean much. Things will start shaking out in December and I have to believe our 'boys are going take the second-seed in the playoffs.

Barring injuries, I think we'll match up well with the Bears, both offense and defense. The only advantage they'll have at this point is their special teams.
