In recent memory, when Shawn Hochuli's referee crew is working a Dallas game, the most gawd awful, ticky-tak, and downright wrong penalties are called on the Cowboys, as well a slew of non-calls that hurt our Boyz. I believe his crew even set some flag hurling records calling Dallas games.

I was shocked to see Shawn Hochuli's crew throw 6 penalty flags on Dallas while Jacksonville got 13. Did Big Mike finally get thru to the players about penalties, did Jerry invite Shawn onto his yacht in the offseason, or is Shawn Hochuli saving his flags up for the regular season and the playoffs? It's a mystery.

The last time Jerry had any officials on his bus (Dean Blandino) we got screwed with the Dez catch. I really can't wait until Jerry goes away.

It is preseason but it is a positive not seeing mostly backups commit a bunch of penalties. It could be a reflection of how well the entire team will reduce self-inflicted penalties. Now I hope I did not jinx them for the regular season, lol.

The officiating was awful. On Jacksonville's first TD, the LD grabbed Osa by the shoulder pad to hold him up or Osa would have sacked Lawrence or disrupted the pass play. The next play, the RT grabbed Sam Williams preventing another potential sack. But in the first half, they called practically nothing. In the second half it was like someone flipped a switch and the flags started flying.

I agree that not OPI but i did see a nice handful of jersey by the CB..right call, wrong player!!

Yeah it’s sucks these guys are putting together good tape and then it gets taken away for something like that.

To be fair, the tape is still the tape. The coaches will have their own eval whether or not that's OPI, and how to grade it.

The “refs screw us” brigade usually waits till regular season. Can’t y’all wait till the first game at least? If we go 12-5, I already know the refs screwed us 5 games and called it straight for 12 games.
