Jay Ajayi trade to eagles **merged**

I think that some are here will be happy about the Iggles winning a Superbowl this season, just so that they can say "I told you so" smh.

No, some people can just give other teams credit for making good moves and some people can't.

Dolphins are run by Mike Tannenbaum. Same guy who mishandled the Jets. And probably Gase and Ajayi didn't see eye to eye.

I also think the Dolphins realize there probably isn't a long term future there so just move him and get something for him. And they found a team with a plethora of mid round picks willing to give up one for Ajayi.

I actually don't think it's a bad move at all by the Dolphins.

The SKY is falling, The SKY is falling! We're all going to die!

I feel the same way. But not because of the Eagles. No, I sit here despairing over the fact that a female judge just disgraced all of womankind(I'm a woman I can say that) with her biased, and probably bribed self, just so she could beat her chest like a he-man, and all at the expense of a player who was never charged with anything, and whose life now is labeled and altered in a very public and horrible way, and who will have to play football knowing he can't really date, won't get endorsements, and will be left wondering if he even breathes will they suspend him. This is injustice. If I was a player I'd be raising my fist and shaking it at Roger Goodell, irregardless of the role the NFLPA has played. This dictator regime has to go.

But right now my prayers go out to Zeke, irrespective of the fact that he set things into motion by being a human being. Who makes mistakes. The unfortunate thing about life is that you're not born with the wisdom of old age. It's a process says Jason Garrett always. And he's right in this instance.

I don't know that I've ever been this angry. Even though I've seen both sides of the judicial system; it's the going horribly awry side that's becoming much more common and taking many innocent people with it. That's scary stuff.

But the Eagles? What they did is typical. They start out smart and end up stupid. Maybe they'll be the squirrel finding the nut this year, but I wouldn't count the Cowboys out at all. Karma has a way of evening up the scales of injustice.

So don't panic. We have not crossed the streams. Good thing too, it would be bad. (see the Life and Times of Judge MajorFaila)

Calvin Johnson

That rumor was put to rest I think. Also, any team trading for him has to have serious cap space. The Eagles don't have the space unless they cut or restructure a guy or two or restructure Johnson's deal. They have $5MM in cap space and his cap hit would be around $8MM this year.

There is giving credit, then there is going overboard which I think that some are doing on this board. Giving credit doesn't equal acting like the Eagles are some unstoppable/unbeatable force that has a cakewalk to the Superbowl this season. People automatically are crowning them NFC champions.

Looks like they're about to trade for Calvin Johnson, too. He wants back in apparently.

With Carson Wentz there, the next decade doesn't look so good for us. That guy is going to be exceptional.

Was wondering if the Mods would consider changing the name from Cowboyszone to Eagleszone. I am sure all the closet eagles fans that infest this site would appreciate it.

Agree on much of the first part.

I don't agree with the 2nd. I am not sure what the Eagles have done is stupid.

You giving up a 4th for Ajay who has a whopping 3.4 YPC and 0 TDs when you have two former 1000 yard backs on your roster?

Man and people think our FO is stupid.

Bene. Benwikere. 6th round pick. Likely never plays a meaningful snap for this team.

Nolan Carroll. $4 million guaranteed for a guy that played one freakin' game.

They are "stupid".

Maybe. However he still had another year of his rookie contract and it's not like they have a young promising back behind him. Williams is a good 3rd down back/pass catcher and Drake was a backup at Bama and was looked to be a good relief guy for Ajayi. Aka change of pace back

Landry is on the trade block FWIW

Smart move by the Iggles. The league level of play is somewhat diminished with the Patriots, Packers, Cowboys, Seahawks "lesser" this year,,, this is their golden opportunity.

I dont like the matchup at all. We can be a little soft in the middle when it comes to the bruiser type r.b's. Ajaya can do some damage against us. Gonna have to find a way to shore up our defense if we want to hang in there and have a chance till Zeke gets back.

Ok people calm down. Jeez.

I come from the camp that RBs aren't that tough to find.

Hopefully Birds do not trade for a legit LT and LB. That team is primed for a run.
