Jay Ajayi trade to eagles **merged**

Bene. Benwikere. 6th round pick. Likely never plays a meaningful snap for this team.

Nolan Carroll. $4 million guaranteed for a guy that played one freakin' game.

They are "stupid".

I think our front office struggles with the value of draft picks. They seem to give up too much to move up in the draft and often throw away picks on mediocre players while other teams somehow turn mid and late round picks into better players.

Looks like they're about to trade for Calvin Johnson, too. He wants back in apparently.

With Carson Wentz there, the next decade doesn't look so good for us. That guy is going to be exceptional.

Not sure if you notice, but we have a pretty exceptional QB as well (who has better comp %, less ints & fumbles)

There is giving credit, then there is going overboard which I think that some are doing on this board. Giving credit doesn't equal acting like the Eagles are some unstoppable/unbeatable force that has a cakewalk to the Superbowl this season. People automatically are crowning them NFC champions.

Meanwhile there are other crybabies vainly trying to downplay every smart move that's paying off for the Eagles.

I know which is worse.

The Eagles sit at 7-1 for those who might not know. And Dallas is one game I've .509 and just lost the league's leading rusher. Oh, and the Cowboys defense stinks. The Packers are out of contention for anything without Rodgers.

It's a lot more rational to give the Eagles credit than not to.Giving kudos to the best record in the NFC and a team continuing to improve isn't "going overboard".

And most of those teams you mentioned are in the Cowboys way in these hopes and dreams of getting a wildcard. Because they're obviously not winning this division.

But I guess that fact eluded you during your little rant?

The Eagles were better than the Cowboys yesterday.

Before they added a 1300 yard rusher and we lost a 1600 yard rusher.

Some people can deal with that reality while other can't.

We still control our own destiny beavis, obviously that fact has eluded you.

Oh gawd why do I even bother, enjoy the sand while your head is in it.

There's no doubt. But then that same team continues to talk about "the value of the draft". Which is it fellas?

I come from the camp that RBs aren't that tough to find.

I agree with that. However, for the Dolphins, nothing comes easy and they seem to give away blooming players at the wrong time.

Started with Welker way back when. They got cute no re-signing him fast enough and Pats gave him a poison contract. They traded him to the Pats. Picks ended up being nothing.

Traded Vontae Davis to the Colts. He becomes that #1 corner for a while and they let Sean Smith walk. Still can't field a competent corner, let alone two since then.

Let Vernon walk for a comp pick. Could of re-signed him earlier before that stupid Giants offer.

I'm more pissed about the Dolphins than the Eagles getting Ajayi.

There's more I'm forgetting.

Yeah, I don't like those moves. Although, Benwikere had a fumble recovery at Washington, so I'd call that meaningful.

Look who's talking!

It's great to see that you were completely unable to refute a single point I made and instead had to resort to an attempt at name calling based on a guy's avatar.

Yes but certainly you can at least admit that losing Elliott is a pretty big blow to this whole notion that we can go on a run and win enough games to get to 11-12 wins and win the division, right?

It's obvious. They can't "admit" anything.

In the meantime anyone on this board who wants to give Dak or the team credit are called "Homers". Even for being hopeful that this team can still have a chance at the playoffs this season.

Dak is solid, but hardly exceptional. Carson Wentz looks like one of the next greats.

I fully realize Dak can change that. We'll know a LOT more about in six weeks after he plays against some real defenses.

I don't care who likes it. This is the Wentz era. Bathe in it. Let the aroma sting the nostrils and be tortured by the knowledge that I tried to stop this.

Yeah that's an overstatement.

The homer comment usually comes in when people are just willing to accept whatever the front office does as smart and shrewd and part of a solid plan.

Dak was worlds better last year and has played a tad better than Wentz this year (better rating, better comp %, less picks & fumbles). So he doesn't have to change anything.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE DOLPHINS?

First they let the eagles off the hook for Byron maxwells contract, and now this? I am SICK AND TIRED of their incompetence helping the eagles.

Jesus.
I was thinking the same, why are the Dolphins still helping the Eagles?

I've watched the games. I'd give the Eagles Dak Prescott and a draft pick right now for Wentz and throw a party.

Actually, the guy I'd rather have is Deshaun Watson. He's the best pro QB in Texas already.
