On a positive note, a lot of members of my family are sad this morning.

That reminds me, my chiropractor is probably on suicide watch. I'd better call him to make sure he's alright. :lmao2:

The Cowboys probably drove him to it. When he played us in November, saw how good Romo & our team was along with losing his 9th game at Texas Stadium, he just got discouraged. He could sense the Cowboys have reloaded & were again an elite team with legit SB aspirations & victories beginning in the 08 season.

Good luck to the mighty Brett "Fav-ra", it really is the end of an era.

Madden may call it a career as well.

Sad day in PackerLand. I kind of had a thought he might retire. Over the past few years, the media kept speculating he would retire and he always came back. This year the media was speculating he could come back because he played well and the Packers played so well. I think he wanted to go out at the top of his game and he did. Good Luck Brett-

Nevermind the drinking, you need a sense of humor early in the day.

I saw this thread first before seeing the second, older, one. Posted on both. Relax.

I never really liked Favre and thought the media gushed over him way too much but there is no denying that he was a great player and played the game the way it should be played. Romo has a lot of that same passion and enjoyment which is one of the reasons I like him so much.

I expect Madden to announce his retirement soon.
