Jay Locker drops to round 3

I wouldn't take him until Round 3. He really hit a plateau and I never saw much improvement from him, and Washington specifically hired a bunch of experience working with NFL QBs to help groom him. He had Chris Simms syndrome .. he was the same exact guy in his Senior Year that you saw in your Freshman Year.

Locker was thoroughly outplayed that day by Max Hall.


The following year (2009) was when Washington beat #3 USC. Locker had an average day passing then, as well, with 237 yards and no TDs. USC had a backup QB in that day and they were overrated to begin with, as USC finished the season 9-4.


The fact that you remember Locker as having an "awesome performance" is simply a product of the unwarranted hype that the media constantly heaps upon him.

The guy has been repeatedly hyped by ESPN (I assume that airs in NJ) despite his consistently disappointing performance on the field.

Dork Olympics aside, the guy can't play. He's Kyle Boller Jr. with better mobility.

Yep, this dude is all hype machine. His games are all over prime-time.

No one I know has even heard of him.
