Just reading the tail end, I guess it was suicide due to depression.
Sad to hear that someone went in a senseless fashion like that. It's like someone slipped through the cracks unnecessarily.

God bless her.

People with a strong grip on reality and strong self awareness can easily resist such thoughts. But how many people are that fortunate? The dark impulses come to all of us, but many struggle to overcome them. For some it keeps coming and they grow weary of fighting it and just let go.

For every person there is a different circumstance and or situation. Generalizinig this illness is dangerous. Huge difference between being completely mentally consumed and 'thoughts'.

Yes, anyone who says they can't possibly comprehend suicide should be thankful.

The biggest myth in the world is that people who kill themselves are cowards, or are taking the easy way out, or any of that. People who unfortunately fall victim to that are in tremendous pain that most of us never know.

I had a first cousin that was a petite, beautiful girl. Graduated magna cum laude from Michigan St.

Was fluent in 4 languages and worked for the U.S. Government in Washington D.C.

She seemed to be very successful and had it made.

Took her own life.

The brain is a very complex, intricate, delicate thing, .. we just never know what others are thinking or are going through, .. no matter what it looks like from your perspective.

When I hear of things like this, I always think if they could have just made it through that day, .. one more day.

Maybe something would happen to change their mind. Maybe they would receive something in the mail, maybe someone would say something, do something, anything.

Too sad.

I suffer from depression and take medication for it. It's really hard to explain because some days are fine and others you feel like you don't matter at all in the world and everything is crashing in around you. The littlest thing can tip the scale and you just feel helpless. It's tough and the biggest toll is your family trying to understand and cope with your mood swings. I can assure you it is no fun. You feel like you just want to get away from everything and everyone and "hide" from it.

That’s sad. Wish i knew more of what happened to her.

Depression tends to be passed down, i know i used to struggle with thoughts as a youngster, but was too chicken to try any of them. When i realized that this life is all you have and when you die it’s all over...you see the value of living right now. At least her pain is over.

the CBZ community is here to support you 100%. Hope you get through it. My best friend's father is also dealing with depression and it runs down to him.

I know it won't help in times when you are hardest hit, but you matter to this forum.

Keep on fighting it man. Prayers to you and all who have it.

After loosing my first wife at an early age, I somewhat can understand the feelings that Jay must be feeling at this time. And even though my wife's death wasn't a suicide, nevertheless the hurt is still there 12 years later and probably will be forever. Thankfully. I found another wife that would have and love me.

Hence, my heartfelt condolences and prayers for the Novacek family and friends.

...like when Amidala died of a broken heart even though she was healthy after giving birth to Luke and Leia at the end of Revenge of the Sith.
You're kidding with that... right?

Hang in there brickman. I'm 41 yrs. old and have been battling it my whole life. Terrible side effects to every med I've ever tried, but I wish you the best and always remember the good things. Lots of them in your life and mine. As for me I try to combat it with family, diet, exercise, sports and prayer. (I also steer away from depressants such as alcohol)

BTW.....this forum is awesome. Many compassionate, caring folks here.

You are exactly right about all the nice, compassionate, caring people on this forum. You are right about all the good things in our life, it's just sometimes you forget about all of that. I'm 55 and have been fighting it most of my life, also. Best of luck to you also. Thanks for the kind words.
