I think at some point the discussion has to go past Ratliff is the 2nd best player on our defense, and past Ratliff is one of the best NTs in the game, straight into Ratliff is one of the top 10 defensive players in all of football.

I mean seriously, not only is the guy basically unblockable and gets insane pressure from a spot where you usually don't generate much, but he's always in the backfield disrupting run plays too. We got an absolute steal when we resigned him, and if his agent is a smart dude we're going to end up paying him again soon.

good post: hes a STUD. He got nicked again last night: would like to see some Junior Savaii(sp?) vs. Gbay: Jay is a little light for that position and as the season wears on he could wear down: all pro for sure though...

He was a great find and is a great player. He's on his way to a return trip to Hawaii.

I think i'd give him a raise in the offseason if we could do that in an uncapped year.

He is vastly underpayed and I think we should use this offseason as an opportunity to reward him if it is at all possible.

and nobody deserves more then Jay Ratliff
The best interior DL in Dallas sense Randy White. If JR played in a 4-3 he would be scary. He's my favorite DC defensive player-urr well tied with Ware.

Total stud. Great, great motor and talent.

Who makes more plays from an interior lineman position than Jay? Seriously. He's playing like Warren Sapp in his prime, and has for a while.

Ratliff is great, but he's not a top 10 player in all of football because there are times when he just gets blown off the line.

It's just a matter of him not being big enough, and he's still a great player, but top 10 is a stretch I think.

I don't recall how long he is signed for, but he definately deserves to be paid.....maybe add another two years at $15 million?

Great player, great motor. Broken record here, but, it's the truth.

I think you're insane. I fully believe Jay is one of the top 10 defensive players in the game. Every D lineman gets 'blown off the line' sometimes as you said, but when I watch our D, it's always Jay making plays. His size has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of guys 50 pounds heavier than him that aren't 1/10th of the player he is. He knows how to use his strength and leverage to it's fullest, and I think if you ask personnel people around the league they'd say the same.

The guy is flat out a beast. He's the exact definition of that word when it comes to players. I love the guy. He's a big time playmaker.

I love that Wade is moving Rat around and not just playing him on the nose in passing situations,,, brilliant!

my only complaint is that Stephen Bowen never lets him complete his QB smash dance

btw, Ratliff has 2 less tackles, 1 more sack and forced fumble than 100 million man, Albert Haynesworth
