Thank God we wrapped him up long term, because he could get a Haynewsorth esque contract on the open market.

Imagine if he had Greg "Such A Great Guy" Ellis attitude ... "Gosh. I don't know if I can play nosetackle or not. I mean, when you look at the NFL most nosetackles weigh 30 more lbs than me. I mean, I can give it a try, but maybe we need to revisit my contract and maybe that will help convince me that I can do it. But I'm in no way implying that I demand more money, because I'm a great guy and I would never do that. I'm just saying I'll probably fail at this ... unless we rework my contract."

We've come a long way since Brandon Noble haven't we?

What the *** are you talking about?

Imagine if we were playing a 4-3 with Ratliff and Mr. Blocker Magnet side by side. No one would run on us. Ever.

And Mr. Blocker Magnet would free up Ratliff 1v1, which of course, would be the end of any team.

Ratliff is great, but he's not a top 10 player in all of football because there are times when he just gets blown off the line.

It's just a matter of him not being big enough, and he's still a great player, but top 10 is a stretch I think.

Chicken versus egg argument. The fact that he is dominant playing 30 pounds light, playing out of position, makes him top 10 IMO. I agree with the earlier poster who said he would absolutely tear it up in a 4-3. The fact he is doing it in 3-4 makes him that much greater.

"But but but but, he's too small. You can't play NT in the NFL unless you're 350+ pounds."
