Jaydon Blue is the fastest offensive player we drafted this century

Here is the question. Can this new offensive line get Blue to the second level? If so, can they put him in a position to make a move and be gone?

I read somewhere Blue reminds of Pollard. I have no clue. But Blue has the similar speed as Turpin. Get him past the big boys and watch him run.

Blue also ran a 4.38 with a slightly torn goin at the combine. He has 4.2 speed.

+1 for relevant fact

From the article:
However, in his last chance to show his athleticism to NFL personnel, Blue impressed on Tuesday by clocking times of 4.25 and 4.28.

I usually adjust Pro Day numbers 0.05 up. So a legitimate 4.3 RB. With decent thickness. Who can catch. I like it.

Bad news for Deuce, though.

Seems like a much better in every way Lance Dunbar.

Inch taller. Little heavier. Much much faster.

Pollard seems a lot leaner. 10 lbs heavier but 3 inches taller. Played longer and leaner too.

be nice to see someone bust a long one.. maybe this kid will.
If the o-line does their job we will.

The problem our rbs have had is dodging tackles on the hand-off. You can't get speed and momentum moving sideways.

Make a hole. Look for o-line up the field looking for someone to pancake. If you don't see that...no rb will help.

Ran a 4.38 with a groin tear at the combine. Ran a 4.25 at his pro day. Really excited to see him healthy.
Always add .005 to .01 to pro day times.
Always. No exception
Been that way for 20 years

4.3 - 4.35 is still blazing

We drafted RB Darius Jackson in the 6th round in 2016 and he ran a 4.35. He only lasted one season with the Cowboys.

Serious question as he looks like a solid football player. Why wasn’t he drafted earlier? I watched him in the playoffs and he looked pretty good to me. What was the knock? Fumbles?

Imo the cowboys should start mafah and blue for the entire season baring any injury. Leave williams as depth at 3rd incase injury. Live and die by it. Clean slate at the Running Back position.

I mean if the cowboys were going to struggle at the position anyway you might as well start the young pups at 1 and 2.

Id rather that than anything with Williams and sanders starting
There’s going to be a competition. Starting jobs aren’t handed out. If you want to pencil them in as starters before they’ve even made the team, go ahead.

People hate the Texas Longhorns.

That's it.

There has been a bias against anything Longhorns for decades.

Need to use a lead FB to truly increase Jaydon Blue's chances of breaking runs for TDs.

Watching all of the Longhorn games in his career, he only had 200 something carries. He's fresh. With that said, he's gotta step his pass blocking game up, I think that's what held him out of more looks. Furthermore, I don't have a stat for you but when Tre Wisner would get the drive Texas would stall out at some point. We Jaydon Blue would get the drive, they would score almost every drive. He's insane. Dallas has to bulk him up, teach him blocking mechanics then let him takeover the #1 back. He's not a #3 back. He's the guy you want on every drive if you like scoring points.

You see the problem with that statement is that the cowboys have a long history of not starting certain players at a position where the starter is not playing up to par, but the backup may be more serviceable.

The FO fascination with "we lover our certain guys" doesn't necessarily help the situation either, and is as penciled in as it gets.

Deuce Vaughn isn't a starter, but the guy got drafted based on his family connection, and received carries that should have easily went to more serviceable backs that were behind dowdle such as Malik Davis.

I mean this is a FO that fell in love with Troy Hambrick after Emmitt Smith left, and a blind man could see that he shouldn't have been starting. Woody Dantzler had more potential than that guy.

Point is, this FO has a history of penciling in certain players they shouldn't, wether favorite or contract, no matter how bad they are.
