Honestly I doubt it's that team friendly. Would be nice though. We have almost as many studs as the Vikes, but they lock up their studs on team friendly deals. I'd love for us to be able to do the same.

I do NOT expect it to be anywhere near the top LB contracts.
- I'm basing that on the timing of it. Likely only happens now if team friendly.
- He is under contract for 2019 and is a Restricted FA in 2020.
I think he gave them a team friendly deal.

Nice move Jerry, maybe it will light a fire under the agents for the others. Sort of think Amari will be next followed by Dak. Would nice to see the numbers.

That tweet is the antithesis of logic!

Now we got Jaylon and LVE locked in for at least another 4 years.

They are going to be giving offenses nightmares together.
Nah, I think LVE should start a new LB’er trend and sit next year. Dude has already outplayed his rookie contract in just one year.

LVE, I love ya man, but come on down and take a seat! You’ve earned it!

I thought jaylon was a wasted pick when I saw the Chiefs take that monster Chris Jones DT right after Dallas. Jones comes up and hugs Goodell and makes him look like a little kid. I'm a fan Jaylon watching him and LVE play last year and he is only going to get better. Glad he got paid and Jerry is finally investing in defense.

They must’ve got him for a bargain because right now he hasn’t done enough to warrant a big contract but his ceiling is incredibly high.
Paying for potential is better than paying for past performance. I'd say he's done plenty to warrant it. He's going INTO his prime where you are likely to get the best performance of his career and make his contract look like a bargain. Its why Zeke asking for a new contract should make sense. Pay him for when he is at his best, not for past performance. It's why the Cowboys should try to franchise Dak if they could instead of paying 35 million per. His prime as a QB is further into the career vs a RB or a LB

Schefter loves to pretend he doesn't know contracts are bilateral (both sides have to agree). Stupid yank. If one of the muppets had hair gel, it'd resemble Adam Schefter.

Curious to see the compensation. We could have gotten a pretty good deal for once. I can't imagine it was a 17mill/year deal, maybe 4-6 years and 13-14 with a truck full of incentives? I'm really not sure.
