The reality is what we've seen. And we should all be hyped about it.The hype has exceeded reality.

We gon' do what they say can't be done...
We gotta long way to go and a short time to get there...Eastbound and down, loaded up and truckin',

Huh?The only question now is mental.
He was not mentally ready for the NFL early last season.
Vander Esch as a rookie appears to be mentally ahead of where Jaylon was for game 1 of 2017.
I was a non-believer when we drafted him ill admit...
Yeah that made me cringeI hate the (nfc east should be terrified) nonsense. Save the hyperbole. Let him play a great first quarter of a season before we get the superhero hype
i can believe that he is not yet 100% even though he looks really good.
they are probably tracking his physical performance and still seeing steady improvement.
the FO has been quite misleading over the entire process so there is a lot of uncertainty in the recovery process from:
1. he could play in 2016
2. he could have played in the 2016 playoffs at an elite level
3. he is going to play 2017 but be limited to number of plays
4. he is going to be 100% in 2018
5. he is 100% now
6. he is only 90 something % and still improving
i guess a lot of it is expectations management, and then when the improvement happens and it becomes we knew it all along.
it was a risky 2nd round pick but very rational one based on available info under uncertainty.
they took the risk but wanted to manage fan expectations.
Probably right, but its one thing being a rookie coming in healthy, than being a redshirt "rookie" coming back from a devastating injury. Smith probably had the mental hurdle with his knee and wearing the brace reminded him everyday of what he was battling back from. The only question now is mental.

Jaylon sure looks mentally ready to me.
How can you say LVE is more ready afte a handful of plays in one game.
I think last year it was a combination of mental and physical. So of course LVE would be more ready as he does not have the injury to overcome nor know how he will hold up.

...offered a nugget that should absolutely terrify the rest of the NFC East: Smith isn't at full strength yet. "
Nah he’ll be 100% his contract year. That’s how it goes with our draft picksLol
Maybe he’ll be 100% by the time he’s a free agent.

Please please please go back to my post history and find one comment I have ever made on Moore. Good luck with that.Speaking of swinging hard...are you still claiming Kellen Moore has "untapped All-Pro talent?" You know he no longer plays football, right?
