Carter didn't fail to live up to his potential because of the knee injury. With Carter, we gambled on a talented prospect who wasn't particularly fond of working hard, if Smith is different in that regard, he will be more than worth a 2nd rounder

Carter was dumber then a doorknob. I remember an interview he did on a local radio station. He said he excelled in all the positions that they put him at.

Jaylon seems pretty smart from his interviews. Seems like he would pick up the playbook way better then Carter.

Bruce Carter was a pretty talented prospect. Jaylon Smith is better. Top 5 talent this year.

If he comes back 100% he'll be the most talented defender we have on the roster. Hands down.

This is without nicknames being factored in.

Yep. And last i heard hes dove head first on our defensive playbook and learning FAST.
