Jaylon Smith

He wasn't great in college, and his bad injury really made people overlook the fact that he actually wasn't playing at a very high level his final season in college.

Bad second round pick and a guy we probably could have gotten in a later round. Hell, maybe even ended up with both Jack and Smith.

lmao

Jaylon was excellent in college. He would have been a Top-5 pick if he wasn’t injured.

He had 2 sacks last year, and 50 tackles .

Not a star , average at best .

Lets see this year.

Jaylon's missed on a couple routine plays but also made some freaky plays happen that few LBs in the league could do. He's better than average (as others have said - watch him blitz) and he's the least of our problems on D right now, forget about the offense.

I will say though, that missed wide-open sack today on Wilson was horrible.

Never bought into the hype. He is improved from last year. Maybe next year we will get the beast in time for his 2nd contract.
Jaylon is playing well, or at least above average in the NFL. However, the lazy media, the same who annually report that Dallas has the best line in the NFL, tabbed Jaylon as a Top 5 talent.

It is easy and flashy to say. But riddle me this, how many INTERIOR linebackers were taken in the Top 5 of the last six drafts?
