Jayron Kearse: Are they gone give Mr Allen the same treatment they’ll give my quarterback

Since Week 1 of 2022, Josh Allen has played 19 games. He has 20 interceptions and 17 fumbles in those 19 games. 37 picks/fumbles in 19 games. Averaging almost exactly 2 picks/fumbles a game.
Goal post move. Prescott was criticized for what he did over the course of the games he played last season. This is a new season, for all we freakin' know Allen could limit his turnovers in the next 6-7 games. Throwing nearly 40 TD passing with 14-15 INTs isn't awful QB by any stretch. It's vastly different when a QB throws 23 TDs and 15 INTs in 12 games.

For comparison, nobody was suggesting Dak was a turnover machine in 2019 when he threw 30 TDs to 11 INTs. The idea that this is some longstanding critique of Dak is absurd. It started last season because he was reckless with the ball.

The simple answer is the star on the helmet. That's the main reason followed by his status among coaches and players being on the border of top 10 or not.

Allen and Burrow won't get more media attention simply due to not being "America's team" and are considered superior to Dak to just about anyone with two working brain cells.

Instead of all out blaiming Josh, they blamed losing Deibol and how he has regressed as a QB since. Does that mean if Dak improves this year we can blame KM then for his yips?

He's made the playoffs 4 straight years, and made it to the conference championship.

Neither of which Dak has done

Plus, he doesn't play for America's Team, and doesnt do the little hip dance on Sunday Night

So No, he won't
Because as we all know, all circumstances are the same from one team to the next.

There are two categories of quarterbacks in Cowboys history. There are those who could and those who couldn't. In both cases, the team was good enough to go all the way.

Don Meredith couldn't
Danny White couldn't

Roger Staubach could.

Tony Romo couldn't
Troy Aikman could.

Dak Prescott.....?

All of these quarterbacks had their opportunities with teams that were capable. The ones that could were the ones that made those handful of plays that were the difference.

Even Trent Dilfer made those few plays when the Ravens won the Super Bowl in the 2000 season. In the playoff game against the Titans, he only completed 5 passes but one of them was a 56 yarder to Shannon Sharp to set up their first score when they were down 0-7. The game was tied 10-10 in the 4th quarter until the defense/special teams had back to back scores

We know the opportunities that were there, Meredith against the Packers, White against the 49ers, Romo against the Giants and Dak against the Packers.

It is the ability to makes the plays that must be made that separates QB's. Dak will be considered a can't until he can. Allen is in the same boat.
Craig Morton couldn't.

This is not true, Dak has been given plenty of leeway. He's in year 8 and still hasn't elevated his game. Allen played like crap against the Jets and deserves to hear it but he also has had some success in the playoff (against good QBs).
I don't know if you understand the difference between team and individual contribution. Dak has had his moments, but the organization, as a whole has been inconsistent.

Was he reckless with the football or let down by his receivers (and the playcalling to a lesser extent)? Remember Noah Brown was the #2 receiver.

Even McCordy on GMFB Tuesday morning mentioned his. Can't remember his exact words.
He brought up .... If this was Dak throwing a few picks, how would people react ..... eluding to Dak would not get a pass from fans and media.

But it is how the media and fan world works. We seen it from both sides on here far too often.

Just go play the next game. Way too early in the season for any of this.

The problem with your statement is that even if dak did all of those things it wouldn't matter he still wouldn't get a pass because he plays for America's team.
The problem with your statement is it’s an assumption whereas the one you’re responding to is based on facts. Dak go to playoffs 4 straight years and nfc championship

I still believe Allen is a stud. I rank him over Dak because of his wheels, but that said he hasnt been great the last year.

I also think Dak is a damn good QB.

Both guys are top 10 at the position and capable of playing top 5 or higher. I dont subscribe to the nonsense if you aren't top 3 you're trash. Those people are completely unrealistic and if they had their way we'd be consistently terrible for decades trying to land the league's best qb at any given time and accepting no less.

Kearse isn't wrong, though. Allen had been getting a pass while Dak was being torched. Good on him for sticking up for his teammate.

No, of course not. Just like I've been hearing all week that Dallas destroyed "a terrible Giants team", yet I'm sure the Eagles will be anointed today for beating the Vikings. Just the way it is for the Dallas Cowboys.

Can someone translate this for me? I feel like I'm reading something from the 15th century. Even though they are speaking English, I still can't understand them.
Thine scribes doth protest at Dak, but nay do thine scribes protest at Allen, for he doth giveth the oblong spheroid to the enemy with much more haste.

Josh Allen is not a great quarterback, but he's better than Dak.

Both are in regression.

Ok, that was awesome.

It should I say, "thy words were received with much glee and hilarity for all throughout the kingdom."

I can;t find it now but I saw stats from the 1st half of his season compared to the 2nd and he was greatly improved.
