We’re better. We SHOULD win. But they won’t be as easy as the Giants. They’ll run run run!
Sallah is going to tell his team that we are soft and we can be bullied and run over. We are most built for speed and not power, so it will be interesting to see their approach to our defense. Their receivers aren't necessary big blockers so...our corners and nickel guys will need to tackle. I hope Bell, Thomas and the other young hybrids are ready. VanderEsch will be a huge factor in this game. If he's lumbering and out of place...we're screwed.

My NFL trival assignment the rest of this week - note and keep track of the sports media pundits who will be bold enough = go out on the same limb as 'jazzcat22' in predicting LAR beating SF on Sunday.
That limb is sturdy.

The Cowboys defense must absolutely stop the run on 1st downs early in the game. The Jets won't make the same mistakes as the Giants. They will feature a 1-2 punch with their RB's, Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook. Forget Hall's questionable status. Wilson is a completely different quarterback when dealing with 2nd or 3rd down with less than 5 yards to go.

If it was up to the Jets, they wouldn't pass more than 20 times and most of those would go to a RB with space. The Jets are 7-4 when Wilson passes less than 30 times in a game.

The Jets will try to keep the game close while featuring the run because it does three things for them. First, it eats the clock and reduces the Cowboys offense's time on the field. Secondly, it keeps their QB out of trouble. Thirdly, it wears out the Cowboys defense.

I wouldn't be surprised if they run straight at Parsons in an attempt to neutralize his speed and aggressive style. They will test the Cowboys' interior defense. We need good games from the DT's and the two LB's Clark and Vander Esch.

Things will go much better for the Cowboys if they can build an early lead and force the Jets to throw the ball. A close game favors the Jets.

LMAO. I agree. If Dak can go interception free against the Jets, I'd call that a Pro-lite day. It's hard to go completely pick free against the top secondary of the league.

I feel like this applies to winning it all too.

What a lazy take. You should say that about any team. The key to winning is not turning the ball over 4 times.

What I used to enjoy about Parcells is how much he emphasized the basics in his press conferences. I know we want to get caught up on Xs and Os, technique, etc but he was great about the simple things - turnovers, time of possession, red zone, etc.

Anyone can manage a game when defense and special teams put you up by 20. Dak is gonna throw the ball and compile massive stats. This is the way.

There will be a few games Dak will be needed to throw (SF, Philly).

These next few are not those. Jets, Cardinals, Patriots. Don’t give them the ball, let our defense work and we get to 4-0.

The key to beating the jets is to win the trenches on both sides of the ball.If you do that Dak will not have to force the ball. Your offense cannot be 1 dimensional and predictable. Dak doesnt need to throw for 400 yards but having the occassional run from him and over 200 is not asking much

Uh, sorry but our guy doesn’t turn the ball over like Allen.

Never did and never will

additionally , Allen doesn’t command the huddle and his community outreach is non existent

I expect both teams to try to establish their running game and if they struggle to do so, they’ll have to rely more on the passing game. But by doing so, the risk of turnovers is increased.

We wear them down with constant 3 and outs. Force them to pass the ball

Does anyone have full trust this won’t happen?

Exactly.
Considering that Allen had 4 turnovers, why should any fans have trust that the same won't happen to their QB? I mean, I know you meant that as one of your shots at Dak, but that's a tough defense to handle for any QB, as Monday night showed.

Just like our defense probably made Daniel Jones look worse than he will in most games this year ... with an assist from the weather.
