Anything, anything at all regarding the Dallas Cowboys will get attention. There's a reason it was addressed at halftime.

Half the world loves the Cowboys, half the world hates us. Either way, you mention us and some extra set of eyes will watch.

Why do you think BSPN runs a Cowboys story promo at the beginning of a show, then buries the story until the very end of the show? Because people are interested in America's Team one way or the other.

You put up a promo about a Tampa Bay story on there and 3/4 of the viewing audience will have flipped over to another channel.

Do people know that Philly's starting offensive line hasn't taken a game situation snap together this offseason or preseason? No? Why? They ain't Dallas. If we were in the same situation every single angle of it would be explored to the point we'd know what Cory Proctor's first haircut looked like.

I find it humorous actually that our video board gets more ink, hits, and airtime than 70% of the NFL teams. Anything that happens in Dallas is HUGE. Always has been, always will be.

Remember the Pacman trade, Fisher and the titans said 2 teams were involved in the trade. After the trade Fisher gets on national tv and says we pulled on on the cowboys. No other team was interested in trading for pacman.

I can understand the ploy by saying 2 teams were interested, when in reality only one team was interested. But when you get on national tv and say, oh, by the way, we pulled one over on the cowboys and jerry jones. No other team was interested in trading for pacman but jerry Jones. Your out and out lying and boasting about lying.

Wouldn't that be on Jerry? Fisher unloaded that piece of garbage on what is considered one of the NFLs smartest GMs.:)muttley: ) I would take Fisher here any time.

The people complaining about the people complaining about the score board are really no better than the original complainers.

All right....I just have to complain about the people who complain about the people who are complaining about Jeff Fisher's complaints.....just sayin' :p:

I like that 80% of the interview with Fisher was about 'controversy' surrounding the Cowboys. Obsess much?

YAKUZA

Yea that was pretty funny but I love it. Is there any doubt who's America's Team? I would be surprised if more then 2 kicks hit the VIDEO (it is funny that they can't make that distinction) board this season.

Even though there was already an established rule to compensate for the occurence, Jeff Fisher complained about the possibility of punts hitting the videoboard, essentially made a mountain out of a molehill.

I constantly hear and read the videoboard being labeled inaccurately as a scoreboard.

Is my opinion about the mislabeling of the videoboard just as inconsequential as Fisher's adversion to the videoboard's placement itself?

Perhaps, but honestly that's where any and all similarities between Fisher and myself end. The fact is that I don't own a pornstache and I'm not planning on growing one either.

True, but Fisher seems particularly obsessed. I know he has the Competition Committee at heart, but I truly believe he told that Trapasso (sp.) guy to hit the videoboard on purpose. So petty.

Brad Sham seemed to think so. Not sure why, but Sham immediately called it an intentional act by the punter as soon as he hit it. Maybe Sham knew something...

The bottom of the videoboard is humongous. It's virtually impossible for an observer like Sham to not see someone's intentionally hit something that gosh darn big.

Had to talk the video board at halftime. I hope the Titans tank the season.
During a taped interview, or was this the quick interview that coaches give as they run on or off the field?

Taped halftime interview

I like Fisher as a coach but he needs to let it go. I also think the punter hit it on purpose.

Hand a birthday boy or girl a stick, blindfold him or her, turn them around a few times and stand them beside a piñata the size of an F-150. The kid would have a harder time knocking candy out of it than Trapasso hitting the videoboard.

Trapasso was in it for the publicity and it worked. He was never going to make Titans so he had to get his name out there.

As soon as he was released, he signed off waivers by the Jets who probably thought "wow he must have a big leg to hit that videoboard". As soon as he got to NY, they found out he doesn't have a big leg and cut him, signing Steve Weatherford.

Tampa is the latest team to fall for the fallacy of the big leg because they signed him to their practice squad.

Trapasso picked up some paychecks out of the deal, Fisher got to poke Jerry Jones (there's a power struggle going on between some Napoleonic coaches and owners on various committees) and the media got a story they could beat to death.

All true I'll bet. I also believe Jerry didn't mind the publicity. The stadium got some press without causing a circus in the locker room.
