He is the only safety on this team with a nose for the ball. I took this guy for a total scrub, but the guy can make interceptions.

Church and Jones just don't have that instinct you need to create turnovers. The last awesome play on the ball I can remember is when Church jumped a route against Eli Manning, and then subsequently got injured for the season. Jones, well, his only interception is on a hail mary. Not exactly a ball-hawk.

Jeff Heath sucks. The bad he has done totally outweighs any good.

Be that as it may, he 100% balled out today, and I appreciate that.

I disagree wholeheartedly. What bad has he done? Has his bad plays really been any worse than Byron Jones's? Because Heath had made a hack of a lot more plays than Jones ever has. Jones is the classic wait-and-tackle coverage guy. It's frustrating. He never contests balls. He's not a football player. Heath is.

In actuality, Heath is one of the better players on our team, whether its special teams or making plays in spot duty. I'd like to see him compete with Byron Jones next offseason .

Jones > Heath

Comon' man.

Jones sure as heck hasn't played like it. How many games have you looked back and thought, "Dang, Byron Jones played a really good game." Not many. Hardly any at all. His best game was holding Gronk to 90 yards or something like that. Can someone point out to me what makes Heath so awful? Because I can point to his ability to make plays that makes him good.

He gets bad press here from the bad game he had against Megtron in his rookie year but he has improved every season since his rookie year. He is great value guy that can play ST well and make some plays in spot duty.

People want pro bowlers in every position but every team needs a player like him.

Yup. There were only two players who showed up on defense: Lee and Heath.

Pretty much all of them. He's an outstanding safety. One of the best in the league.

I see a guy who gets beat a lot but almost always makes the tackle after he gives up the first down. Today, I saw Jones get beat constantly by a TE who wouldn't be in the top 25 TEs in the league. Jones is a first round pick who has one career INT on an end of half Hail Mary.

You can look at any nerd stat you want that will say he's a good safety, but his play says otherwise. He has not played that good. He doesn't make plays and he gives up a bunch, including a backbreaker today.

He made more plays on the ball in two quarters than Church or Byron did basically all year.

I really thought Byron Jones would be a guy that could make those sorts of plays, but it sure hasn't looked that way. Granted, he's still learning the position, but I thought he'd be further along.

This is the worst possible time to be selling this. He may be ok, but he's the biggest reason we lost tonight.

I was a hater but he worked hard, kept positive and make plays

Love Heath Bar Crunch

lol

I almost spit up my rum and coke. I mean, he's better than Barry Church, but my next door neighbor might fit that bill.

He seems to have the best ball skills out of all of our DBs. How many times have we seen our DBs drop balls that's thrown right at them?

The INT he got today was a very athletic play.

THIS... Dallas boasts all the time that best player plays regardless of status... if this is true, Jeff Heath is my starter next year. He makes game changing plays. 2 INTs today if Brown hadn't held and a sack.... stupid that Jones is starting. He sucks and is officially a bust in my book.
