By the end of his tenure here, he was serviceable as a safety. Everything leading up to that was tough to watch alot of the time. Sort of an entertaining liability.

I like Heath, he always played hard and definitely earned a spot on those 53s. But lets be honest that was a rough time for safety talent on our team and was one of those positions that was a weak spot. I applaud Heath for capturing the opportunity, but was probably more of a good backup/st player that ended up starting.

Does he make the roster at safety today assuming he was in his prime and knowing the guys presently here?

When is he eligible for Canton? 1st ballot selection?
Are you serious? lol Hard to tell sarcasm on this board. He was a good player for the Cowboys but no way is he getting into the Hall of Fame.

I'll always remember him for taking on the field goal duties for a game.

Good on Mr Heath

Go Cowboys!

Didn't he expedite the retirement of an Eagles player on a kick return block? he was highly criticized for that play but I have always seen the injury caused not by the block but for the Eagles player leaning his helmet down before the hit even after seeing Heath coming. Whatever they say, Heath was never afraid and would go for the ballo or the hit.
It was a Seahawks wr that King Heath knocked the living snot out of. Twas some wonderful revenge for what the hawks did to Sean Lee during a previous match-up. Way to go JEFF!!!!!!

He rewrote how safeties play the game. Troy Poluhairo and Ed Reed say he's the guy they molded their playing style after.
Jeff Heath told Lott he was a wuss if he didn't cut off his finger

2016 Cowboys finished first in the NFC East with a 13–3 record and earned a first round bye. On January 15, 2017, he had one of his best games in the 34–31 loss against the Packers in the NFC Divisional Round, recording three solo tackles, one deflected pass, one interception (a second one was called back because of a penalty), his first career sack, one quarterback hurry and one special teams tackle. Yet he sucked...
Showed up more in the playoffs than Dak ever did…

I clicked on the link thinking it was Matt Johnson and out of pure curiosity I wanted to see the highlights. I was thinking it would be Matt icing his hamstring. Then I realized I confused the two but i forgot about Jeff’s good plays so I liked the video. Got to give the guy credit. He made the most of his opportunities. Good on him.

And yea I am still waiting for that Stepfret Williams highlight reel followed by a Cory Fleming highlight reel.
