McCarthy is officially the new scapegoat.

Dak is a career ender.

Kellen Moore got out luckily.
You are telling me....last year it was we are trying to do too much and the routes don't work so it's not Dak's fault. This year we unveil the Dak friendly Texas Coast where you don't have to think too much and he has a horrible game and now it's McCarthy. The guy gets more excuses than I've ever seen.

no, it's the offensive coordinator, defensive players, and everybody on the team but dak. This team sucks at carrying dak. Why want Jerry find better players and coaches to carry dak. Sheesh the defense had no problem carrying Rush. That's what was posted here.

Dak can’t run a more complex scheme with motions, quick reads, etc. it is dumbed down as far as it can be. I’m not saying MM can create a new current offense but wouldn’t matter if he did.
Lol. Dak gives you enough real things to comment about. This isn’t one of them. Dak has run those offenses and they were top 5 in the league when he was under center running them.

Dak is horribly inconsistent, can’t thread the needle, can’t move in the pocket, or at all, and he needs to go. But making things up to sell a point is bogus. Just say what is true no need to make up things to prove a point

It was a 7-0 game even though Dallas had 4 possessions, 3 three and outs, and a fumble so don't tell me how the Niners offense overpowered them early on.

Dak missed some easy throws and did a poor job reading the defense. If the offense did anything early on it is a different game.

After overthrowing the TE on the first pass, he tried taking a shot to Gallup who was blanketed, but on the other side of the field, Cooks had a step on his man. I thought they brought Cooks in to stretch the defense.
This right here. I don't want to hear about the defense. All our offense had to do is show up.

If MM doesn’t get to the NFCCG he is gone, this we know.

No way Jerry is going to fully clean house, so it’s likely he figures he has the genius idea of making Quinn HC and asking him to find an OC….but all the assistants under contract must stay.

How familiar does that sound? That’s almost definitely the outcome here.
Nah. Jerry will keep MM. He'll get a new OC.
.
Jerry will call the plays.
He probably already is.

I have absolutely no doubt that Moore would say Dak’s play through his years as OC played a big role in his career. He didn’t get the job in SD because Dak can’t play. You should write him and ask; if he says anything other than Dak helped his career, you’ll have the definitive exclamation point to your daily rehash of the same stance on the Cowboys.

He doesn't think about Dak.

Dak misses him. He doesn't miss Dak.

He has a real QB now and Dak is just a bump in his road.

He made chicken salad out of chicken crap and ya'll HATED him for it.

You're getting what you deserve now though. This offense went from being top 2 every year to average less than 2 TDs per game! hahahahahahahahaha

There sure is a lot of anti-Dak 'round these parts lately...

Dak sucks.
Dak is stupid.
Dak can't read zone.
Dak can't throw.
Dak is a terrible QB.
Dak this, Dak that.

The truth is actually nuanced.

Dak is not stupid.
Dak can throw.
Dak can read a defense.
Dak is a good QB.

The one thing that Dak cannot do, and I've been saying this for YEARS, is process information quickly.

If he has to read a key and does NOT get that key early in the play, he'll guess. The Kurt Warner play breakdown was a great example of this. So because Dak cannot process information quickly, we have a tendency to half the field to limit what he has to look at and decide upon. Not always, but a lot. Those wide open receivers that people are talking about? Yeah, for the most part they were on the side of the field that Dak was NOT looking at. Dak cannot seem to do a full, four receiver progression. Remember a couple years ago when Dak officially held the ball longer than any other QB in the NFL? Yeah, because he cannot process what he is seeing quickly enough and he was waiting for someone to get themselves open.

Dak NEEDS that pre-snap motion. Why? Because it gives him the time that he needs to process what he sees and usually will identify where the single coverage is before the ball is snapped. This is HUGE for Dak.

The West Coast is terrible for Dak. Sure he is getting the ball out quickly, but he is NOT making the best decisions because, quite simply, he can't. The WCO requires that the QB make quick reads and quick decisions. Dak is bad at that.

hamburger mike after Monday night will have another loss. and Quinn inches closer to being head coach i think a lot of people on this forum is spot on about this. Dak knows defense he just makes real BIG BAD DECISIONS and IN THESE high pressure games it shows real bad so see you next draft because were on the downward slide now probadly picking after we beat some more scrub teams about 14 or 17 in the draft
I don’t think changing a head coach right now is going to make a difference this season

LIsten to Jeff Saturdays comments about Dallas. He blames McCarthy's play calling as a big issue being out dated. They were talking about
the high scoring teams being innovative like WR moving, in motion creating problems for the opposing defense. Dallas is too predictable
and McCarthy's offense is part of the blame. It's great when your playing lesser teams but the San Frans, Miami's it want work.
When did Miami become a heavyweight?

For the record— MM using an outdated offensive scheme and Dak being unable to execute effectively are not mutually exclusive.

IMO— it’s both issues working together to wreck this season. MM is relying on an old, predictable scheme, and Dak’s limitations continue to to undermine this offense’s potential.

And JJ’s pride and arrogance keep the FO in blind denial of the issues… So they continue to repeat the same cycle of failure over and over again
This in spades Hawk.

I agree with the OP's point that this is leading toward a scapegoat setup for McCarthy to be let go.

BUT that doesn't erase the fact that he DOES suck at his job.

Dak AND McCarthy suck.

McCarthy has done nothing that impacted team success during his tenure that either Moore or Quinn weren't directly responsible for.

Because he was the headcoach titleholder don't erase the fact that this was a coordinator led team. And now that HIS offense's failures are on full display, only further proves my point.

Yep, and of course...
Jerry will be Jerry.

He is absolutely on display now. He can’t hide or blame anyone else for the offense’s performance

Mon night should be interesting. This team has bounced back well after losses. 4-2 at the bye is a big mental difference than 3-3 and back to back losses

The wheels are wobbly. If we lose, they may come off

Totally agree. BUT I think they bounce back here.
But I think this exact same scenario comes back up later. Maybe down the home stretch of those last 5 or 6 difficult opponents to end the season.

But yeah, it's not going away imo.
