If we did keep all three and re-signed Jenkins, they would be the Lebron, Dwayne, and Chris of the NFL's secondary. I personally think they would make every QB in the league worry before they played us. I also think they would allow us to break a team record for picks in one season.

There is nothing more satisfying than watching a QB hate himself after throwing a pick.

Let's not compare them to Miami lol, but I see what you're saying.

I absolutely agree. You look at guys like Carr and Claiborne, and even to an extent Jenkins, and QBs don't generally want to throw their way. It's certainly risky.

I think you have your best 3 corners out there, and to me that is those three. I don't want to see much scandrick at all.

Combined with a good pass rush, and inside linebackers who can cover... I see this defense being really good.

lol sorry about the miami comparison, I like Lebron though.

Anyway, they'd be the best CB combo in the league, easily. Not to mention we have Lee who loves taking the ball away from QB's.

That's why Connor and Carter are so important here.

If we can have linebackers who can cover well its a huge difference from last year, when we had linebackers who were too slow to cover.

If we have corners who can cover well... its a huge difference from what we had last year.

I think our defense can absolutely be a force this year.

You don't need two elite pass rushers to be effective. We just need more coverage, and more consistent pressure from players not named Ware.

Not going to happen with us overpaying Scandrick and Carr, and drafting Claiborne.

I don't think teams would be scared at all....

If Dez, has really turned it up a notch this season, and Andre Holmes steps in like Moss....I like us to have the most dangerous Offense ever seen in the NFL

Murray...Witten....Miles....Dez...Holmes(improved)...and of course Romo

We should be deadly....

then with a Decent defense to create turnovers, and get us off on 3rd downs....we are talking a deep playoff run

TC will tell all

Wasn't the same thing basically said about the Eagles' secondary last year?

Exactly..

Well Asante is short a zone corner.....NA was just getting abused, or what he would like to say, "not feeling comfortable"

The way we drafted and picked players up...we picked them up based on their skillset matching our Style of D...

we have a ton of Corners who excel at Man..but could also play zone if need be

With the exception that the Eagles did not have players appropriate to their scheme...

Their corners were also a lot older than ours.

first lets see how they fit in the scheme and how Rob uses everyone. This is a chess match week in and week out and no No OC is afraid of anyone tandem in the league. The name of the game is march down the field, whether its the best or the least, and u never know who will have that game and who might suck it up that week.

Our corners can be as good or as bad in the league as all others, the match up is the key to victory. Each week is a new game even if you faced that team before, and each game is based on the win, now how ur secondary does, even if our cbs are good, fine run the ball, attack the weakness, it maybe our safties yet again.

And also had proven themselves more as well, though...more than Jenkins and Claiborne, anyway.

And as I have regularly read on this site about RG3, Claiborne hasn't even taken a snap yet lol...so--like the Eagles last year--making claims like they're like the Big Three of the Miami Heat and that "every QB in the league (will) worry" about playing the Cowboys miiiiiiight be a little premature lol :)...

And, yes, I said the same thing last year when fans were claiming (literally) that there might not be a WR unit in the league that could match up with the Eagles' secondary.

They ended up #24 in terms of TDs given up, #17 in terms of INTs and #19 in terms of opponent QB rating. Only so much of that is bad fit to scheme.

But, yeah, Jenkins, Carr and Claiborne definitely have the potential to be a MASSIVE upgrade upgrade to what you had last year...but considering what you had last year, part of that almost goes without saying.

I love that everyone has already forgotten about the guy we gave 30 mil to last year.

i think what everyone is hoping for is a good rotation and use of good cbs in clairborn jenkins, carr and hopfully scandrick, and yes its been a long time since we had a good tandem besides just praying we had a good tandem, we still dont know what the new guys bring. This division is way more cut throat than what Carr was in, i like the guy but he faces better qbs more often in this division and more blood thristy than where he came from.

Yes.

And then you watched them make absolutely no impact whatsoever in the games because the Eagles front seven had so many issues.

The same thing will happen here unless we have guys like Lissemore, Hatcher, Carter and Spencer step up.

Cornerbacks aren't impact players. They don't make the players in front of them better. Never have. Never will.
