The fact that they have Scandrick cover the slot receiver should be enough to warrant him to be allowed a shot at starting. Handing the job to Jenkins has more to do with his draft status than actually on field production IMO.

I call BS now and when this rediculous conspiracy theory was first floated out there this off-season.

Best players play. Period end of story. If the draft status meant anything, Jenkins would have been named the starter before week one.

Care to explain why he wasn't?

How about why Carpenter has never seen a start? He's a former 1st rd pk.

The only bias that may have existed in this Jenkins/Scandrick saga is one that is completely legit and should factor in.
And that's the original and ongoing evaluation of each players pure talent.

It has nothing to do with draft status and making themselves look better by having the higher drafted player start.
It has everything to do with potential and achieving the highest level of play.

There's no arguing the fact that Scandrick developed faster in 2008 and earned more playing time than Jenkins.

There's also little reason to argue that Jenkins has now surpassed Scandrick and deserves to start.

Oh how the tide has turned. Now everyone is pro Jenkins again? So many of you were ready to bury the guy.

pro-Jenkins guy from the start here

I'm actually pro Cowboys, I just didn't get why guys needed to tear Jenkins down to prop Scandrick up

Scandrick seems like the type of guy who is going to sulk all season long over this.

Good player, but he isn't a PLAYMAKER like what Jenkins has shown.

Jenkins just has something about him that I like. Someone might even call it....

swagger?

Am I wrong?
Yes, I think you're wrong. Whatever gave you the idea that Scandrick is the sulking type? From what I've observed, he's quite the opposite. I think he'll come out with a statement to the effect that he had a bad game (against NYG) and deserved to lose his opportunity for the moment. He'll also say he's going to work extra hard to be the best CB he can be.

Im not hating on the guy. I swear you folks get so flippin bent over the smallest of things. :laugh2:

I could care less if he is disgruntled or not. What I was saying is that he SEEMS like the type of guy who will sulk over this decision.

Mike Jenkins was clearly the guy the past 2 games he's played.

Scandrick was HORRIBLE again NY.

Also - that was not him honoring his HS.

I read an article the other day about his behavior w/ BS. I will try and find it and post it.
But you started this thread. Did you honestly start the thread thinking there would be no reaction to it?
