Commercial break Jenkins, every time they come back from a commercial break he is on the sidelines nursing something. I will never forget the times he was too scared to tackle and let opposing teams rb's just run right by him for a free touchdown when he could have easily tackled them. I'm glad he is gone.

What about the times he was battered and still stuck his nose in to make a tough tackle? Or do you only remember the bad in people and not the good

Jenkins is a really good CB and it is a shame that he got that bad shoulder injury - it probably cost him $35M.

He'll get a chance over a full season in a starting role to prove he has fully recovered.

It is a shame we couldn't work out a deal for him but with the big OScan contract we can't invest anymore in CBs then we already do.

Good luck in Oakland, Mike. Show them what you can do.

IMO, Jenkins is a top 20 cover corner in this league.

No one knows is Jenkins was a locker room cancer or not but there were some character red flags coming out of college. Then the guy chose to rehab away from VR the previous off-season and expected the Cowboys to spend big money to extend him when he had no leverage. The Cowboys moving up for MC is all anyone needs to know about what they thought of Jenkins.

I don't hate Jenkins but I have no great love for a player that tackled when he wanted and disregarded the team rules by not being at VR in the off-season. The sad part is that it looks like he got a 1 year deal which is something we could have given him had we even remotely wanted him. We've taken a flyer on far less players so I wouldn't be so sure attitude and charchter didn't come into play.

What's done is done there's no need to cry now. I'd be pretty mad if I outperformed a guy for 3 years and see him rewarded with a contract extension for his mediocrity.

He didn't handle his business the right way which is part of the deal. Trying to force the Cowboys' hand last off-season came back to bite him in the and cost him long term. That's why I think there were character and attitude issues.

Attitude - one thing this team does not have

I agree that the team needs to play with a chip on it's shoulder but pissing off the front office is the wrong kind of attitude to have.

Yup. Same goes for Felix. It's not his fault he's injury prone and don't forget the coaches made him gain weight then lose it the next year and so on but he'd still play banged up. I'm disappointed when ever their names come up but I never bash them like a lot of you do every chance you get.
One thing on this board I have noticed is anybody that leaves the Cowboys gets bashed, no matter how good they were or how much everyone loved them coming in. I'm sorry but I don't know how so many coaches and players can be a godsend coming in and on the way out everyone saying how bad they were, to me that speaks of the culture created in Dallas because oddly enough at their next stop they seem to be ok.

I typically remember when players QUIT on plays and are scared to tackle, that stands out in my mind. With regards to the days where he actually did his job.. so what? That is what he is supposed to do. Also, players play hurt all the time. Jenkins was a mentally weak jag and nothing more IMO. I'm glad he is finally gone, and same with Sensabaugh.. and I will be happy when Felix is gone too. All jags or worse.

There is no doubt a bad culture here in Dallas that stems from the top. Our team never seems hungry like some of the other better teams in the league. Although, last year towards the end they were not quitting at all out there and giving it all they had.. it's just they had a lot of backups in there. I hope we start off this year with the same hungry attitude as we played with at the end of 2012. That was the first time in a long time I saw the team play with a ton of heart.

one year contract is the key.

Nobody was beating down the door to get to him. Same with Felix.

The years of draft busts are just killing us.

There was a report that the Jaguars had a standing offer to him. Guess he decided not to return to his home state.
