Well if you remember, I said get Aaron Donald at all costs… trade ups included.

I definitely don’t feel anywhere close to the same about Kancey. He is a pretty good pass rusher and has some quickness… but IMO he isn’t close to the dynamic package that Aaron Donald was.

I mean, he might provide some pass rush inside, which Dallas needs, and I would be ok with him if they picked him at 26… but I just think he’s be a designated pass rusher inside.

Aaron Donald was an unstoppable force of nature. So, no not Donald in my opinion. Not very close.
Yup I remember that you were on the Donald train.. Is Kancey better than everyone on the roster.. DL

I don’t think he’s all that. Like I said, he has more quickness than your typical DT and he would be the quickest DT on the team. Osa is pretty quick though and IMO, is better against the run.

Kancey would probably be quicker than any other DT except for Golston, who is starting to get it after his switch inside from DE.

If Quinn wanted to get Kancey and let him go after the QB on passing downs then I could maybe be onboard with that, but I wouldn’t expect a whole lot of sacks or anything.

I guess I’m saying that Kancey is ok and might pressure the QB inside more than anyone we have now… but he’d be a part time player and I’m not sure I would want to spend a first round pick on him for that.

At the end of last season Golston was really coming on inside after his position switch. Keep an eye out for him because about the last 4 games or so, including playoffs, he was starting to make an impact. He is someone that fans should be a little excited about.

I would rather take someone else than Kancey at 26 and then let Golston continue to grow after his position change. That is the bottom line for me probably. Golston is very quick for a pass rushing DT. People are sleeping on him IMO.

I foresee Kancet getting killed in the run game…

I think he’s a solid nickel pass rushing DT in the NFL.

Aaron Donald he is not, but I think he is significantly better than you think. Grady Jarrett might be his best comp, but I think he’s more athletic.

You could be right.. I certainly could be wrong on him. But my opinion on him right now is that he’s just a situational pass rusher in his first year. I don’t quite see the explosion to consistently beat OL, although I think he will win some.

Maybe you’re right though. We will eventually see.

Jarrett was 25 pounds heavier with longer arms as a prospect...I have a very hard time seeing that one.

They are not identical in size, but similar strengths as players. And to be honest Jarrett wasn’t as good a prospect.

I said the same thing about an LSU receiver a few years ago. 80% his highlight tape he would have dropped it if he wasn’t allowed to pin the ball to his chest.

Thank god we passed on Justin the body catcher Jefferson

i would kill for Jefferson right now even without knowing how his career will turn out.he was a very good route runner too and he could play all over the field.no WRs in this draft are even close to him as a prospect.

Yeah; I’m just saying body catching college highlights can be deceptive. That can be taught away at the nfl level. But if the guy is alligator arming passes when he can’t body catch… that’s when there’s a problem
