Jeremiyah Love RB ND

Hard to believe ND has bad OL play as many OLs they put in the NFL.
a bunch of the so called experts before the season said this group would be a top 5 OL in college football. so far not even close
You look at their talent and it is there so you have to look hard at the OL coach

They have some new pieces and Jagusah getting hurt in a stupid ATV incident in the summer right before fall camp started didn't help.

Plus, I think Mike Denbrock is overrated as an OC. He needs an uber mobile QB that can make plays with his feet like Daniels to be really successful. He comes from the Brian Kelly school of offense where at the first sign of trouble, he'll whip the ball all over the field through the air (the classic example being the NCSU game years ago where ND threw like 40 times in a freaking hurricane).

Carr is a better passer than Leonard was last year but not as much of a threat with his legs. And that causes problems for Denbrock and this offense.

Jeanty looks mediocre, picking a RB in round 1 is a reach. Rather take a mauler RT that can make a 3rd round back a pro-bowl type player

I tend to agree but writing the book on Jeanty after 2 games seems silly.

And in 2023, Gibbs was a first round back and last year he ran for 1400 yards, had 16 TDs rushing, caught 52 passes with another 4 TDs receiving. He was a real difference maker for the Lions.

Again, I tend to be anti-1st round RB too but Love is more of a similar player to Gibbs than he is to Jeanty.

I would not use a first on Love either as much as I am a Irish fan and his.

Love has found his groove a bit as the offense at ND has figured it out.

But reality is someone is going to take Jadarian Price later in draft as well and they are going to get a really good back.
