Now wait a minute….last years defense wasn’t solid?
Until they reached the playoffs.

Four guys on that defense had good years. Diggs, Brown, Kearse, and Parsons. But none of those guys play on the DLine full time. When the playoffs came around the DLine let us down... again. Romo could have won a SB if he had a defense.

It's almost as if they get one good pass rusher and think he's enough. Or they'll get one real big bodied DT and think that's enough. And it's been this way for years. Small DEs and small DT's can't stop the run if teams run it enough during a game. They break down.

So detractors don't want to address the data huh?
The only thing people post anymore is "26 years". You can post practically anything and thats the response you will get.

I will say overall its hard to judge because mostly day 3 stuff. They have been pretty decent the last 4 years getting contributors from day 3. Donovan and Cedrick Wilson, Shultz, were excellent value for where they were drafted. Pollard has become a key player on offense as a 4th rounder. Armstrong has been a contributor as a 4th. Woods and Biadasz were/are starters though they aren't very good

Shows that the team is good at trading up though they rarely do it especially early.

But they are still pretty bad trading down.

It appears to me like the OP's intent here is devoted to putting lipstick on a pig!
Whether or not it's been successful in serving that purpose is debatable.

In my humble opinion, Jerry's award is mostly about being a financial success!
Aptly said!

What is there to address? It’s a results driven league and we have 3 playoff wins in going on 3 decades. So we’ve hit on draft trades and then wasted them on Jerry moves like Garrett for 10 years and obscene contracts. This is silly you’re acting like your pair of 2s is a Full House.

The lengths the Dakazoids and Jerry wannabees will go to in order to distract themselves from reality is sad. You'd think after 25 years they would have made it past 'denial' in the cycle of change, but no.
Dak has been involved in 6 of those 25 but thanks for bringing him into a discussion that had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with him, unless you are talking about amazing 4th round picks in NFL history....

PS:
Oh yes, hiring himself as GM and staying in that position when it became painfully obvious that he was in over his head.

So, he is a good GM for two or three days a year. That is OK. Trouble is he is terrible the other 360 plus days each and every year.

I think this goes into the category of meaningless stats. The Rams and Bengals are at the top of the chart but the Titans, Chiefs, 49ers, Patriots, Packers and Cardinals are at the bottom. So what does this mean?

Maybe it means the value you get is not as important as what you do with it.

I agree they underachieved and yes we could use some better DT play but they got some good play out of the defense and they have. few guys on that line like Osi and Gallimore who look like they may be solid contributors.
