Dez looks ready! Jerry, bring Dez back on a 1 year "prove it" veteran minimum deal.

Ya take up a roster spot from a much younger WR that's as good or better that's much much faster now with a big upside than that old man. A young rookie that is as good or better will be about 1/4 the cost as even Bryant on a vet minimum. Please stick to checkers.

How did those much younger WRs look like the past 2 years (not talking about Cooper or Gallup)? They've had their chances, yet they couldn't beat out old man Cobb. Please stick to marbles.

Are you expecting much younger WRs to look better than a veteran like Cobb? What kind of question is that? You call Cobb an old man at 29, so what does that say about Dez Bryant at 31? Your cognitive dissonance is not going to win any debates here.

Hey earth to you. Cobb was brought in to replace Beasley as the slot receiver. You brought up WR and as WR go who aren't slot receivers Devin Smith did just fine as the backup for the WIDE RECEIVER behind Cooper and Gallup. Stop pushing Bryant the has been old man who hasn't played a snap in 2 seasons who was never a fast receiver who's now at 31 and having had a achilles injury and is now even slower and his last couple of seasons he did play was a one trick pony that had one other trait of being the league leader in drops and has a history of not getting along with coaches and was a locker room problem. The vet minimum is still 3 or 4 times more than he's worth and certainly not worth the roster spot over a younger faster receiver with an actual upside.

As much as I'd like to see Dez back I think he looks really slow. Only option I'd see his return is if we move on from Amari, Gallup #1, Dez #2. Can't carry Dez really after #3 cause of ST reasons.

That once overused phrase “progress stopper” needs to make a comeback.

The old term progress stopper was coined to pave the way for a cheap kid instead of a costly vet.

This is something else. A washed up limited player even in his prime wants to come back on the cheap to offer even more of a limited utility. This is uncharted territory.

If Jerry Jones does this, he is really peddling him as the dog-faced boy at the carnival.

The guy used his athleticism to out play defenders. He's too damn old and slow to play now.

Devin Smith who? What did he do? Cedrick Wilson? What did he do? How about the other young'uns? What did they do? Even now as a 31 year old who has been away from the game for 2 years, Dez would eat them alive.

Even if Dez can still play he would be too much of a distraction on game days. The camera’s will be zooming in on him all the time when he’s not in the game just waiting for some reaction. MM will constantly be asked stupid questions by the press. Too many headaches and just not worth it.

Yes and the same mind that thinks Bryant is still good is the mind that everybody get lollipops every morning and the sun shines every day. Again earth to football idiot. Those receivers were BACKUPS to Cooper and Gallup so they didn't get many snaps just like Bryant wouldn't. The HUGE difference is they have upsides and aren't taking a roster spot as a has been over the hill slow one trick pony that led the league in drops and are just sinking lower and lower as days go by.

Admit it, he looks better than our backups...at least. It wouldn't hurt the team to see what he can do in training camp and preseason.
No he doesn't. And yes he would hurt the team. The circus atmosphere and distraction created would be unbelievable. He just can't play in the NFL any more. Period! Not sure why some think he is magically going to transform into a NFL WR again.

There are WRs in the draft that we'd be better off with, even in the late rounds.

There's actually enough of an abundance at the WR position to make that so.

It would be a circus and a distraction, especially since he would be taking away valuable reps from other players who could actually do more than be a fade specialist.

I don’t think it would be a distraction. It’d be an adrenaline shot and get the fan base excited!

And it doesn’t have to take reps away from anyone. Let me ask you a question @Alexander - it’s 3rd and goal from the 6, who is catching that fade route in the corner of the end zone?

It isn’t Coop and it isn’t Gallup.

Now that we have a coach who has shown genuine offensive creativity, there’s absolutely a niche for Dez in this offense.

Oh, and if he’s a distraction, if he can’t play, or both, you cut him and lose NOTHING.

I'll take Cooper or Gallup on 3rd down.
