Jerry, Coach D and the next head coach

I don't know if Gruden saying good things about the cowboys in that last game is a reason to all of a sudden like him for the next HC after you saying you were never a fan of him being a coach here before.

I think Gruden can be tough but at the same time I think he lost that team in Tampa Bay.

I don't know what to think about Gruden as our HC but the bottom line is he resurrected the Raiders from the dead working for Al Davis and he had TB in the playoffs or in the playoff hunt almost every season.

I recall watching TB play the Giants in the wild card game in '07 and thinking they had no firepower on offense with the injury to Cadillac, but they still were NFC South champs and played the Giants tough in that game.

The guy can coach plain and simple and he shouldn't be out of a job very long.

Furthermore I would go so far as to say that if the STs continue to do well all year I would try to lock up Joe D for a long time with an extension to make sure he does not go somewhere else.

The Boys are 2-2 and already you are bringing up the possibility of a long-term extension for Danny Reeve's son-in-law?

I didn't care about Gruden gushing over our players, but I do care that he will get in players faces when they screw up. He made the Raiders a championship caliber team in spite of Al Davis and had his teams in the playoff hunt in Tampa Bay these last few years despite obvious declining talent. He is passionate, which is something I feel this team lacks.
