Yeah..

but Ratliff took the money and never played again.

They tried to get the money back but finally passed on it all.

SO my point was that some players have no moral agenda like the rest of us.

Ratliff pretty much crapped out after Dallas and was out of football.

Hoping Tank does not follow suite.

Actually he got some money from the Bears and then crapped out. I believe we won a suit against him and he had a judgment against him, not sure if we ever collected though...

Yeah..

the point being we have had guys take us before with signing a contract and not honoring it.

Thank for adding the Chicago part.

I knew there was more.

If Tank gets traded:
1. Who becomes the emotional leader on the team, Witten?
2. It would be the New England thing to do
3. What type of message would it send to the current players?
1. Although I think "emotional leader" is one of the most overhyped / overrated "titles" in sports, I would turn around and say Jaylon Smith would be next up in line.
And if not Jaylon, then LVE.
If not LVE, how about S Woods?
If not any of those guys, I think DT Woods is a loud mouth who isn't afraid of anyone and will talk smack all day.

IMO, this does not matter one bit. IF someone needs to step up, we have the guys to do so.
2. Absolutely. If he refuses to increase the chances of him being healthy Week 1 by not having the surgery, ship him somewhere for something.

3. It could go 1 of 2 ways:
Jerry ain't playing. Do what's best for the Boys or you may be gone next.
or
Hey, there is possibly more money for me.

Players DO NOT view this type of ordeal from a fans perspective. This is their job and will treat it as such.

I thought Rat was a little under sized & then Dallas switched to the Ryan 3 4 and Rat was getting his *** kicked.

Yeah no doubt he was wasted in a 3-4 but he did some damage there for a few seasons..

It's a really good bet that each side of this negotiation is now looking out for their own best interests. A mutually beneficial deal for both will be made whenever both sides come to agree upon what's best for all concerned. Only then can a suitable deal quickly be established and agreed upon. :)

Needless to say, the negotiating process is a painstaking and arduous process before a suitable deal can be struck. Hopefully, each side will see fit at some point soon to give and take as the need demands and come to a mutual agreement. It's an undertaking that requires extreme patience, no doubt.
