I see it all as good business. Flozell and Hamlin were not performing up to their contracts and the team felt it had younger options ready to play. I wouldn't call $11.8 million with $8.3 million guaranteed cheap for a rookie WR. I think alot of the cost consciousness comes from the amount of talent on the team and the idea of a future salary cap. I don't see anyway to sign all the good young players that will be needing new contracts over the next three years, especially if they go out and sign big money free agents each offseason. I think this offseason was perfect. Get rid of some expensive dead weight, get some guys back from injury, bring in depth at some needed spots, and have an apparent very good draft. What more could you ask for? I want to see this team build upon last year. No need to upset that with a bunch of new players.
