Jerry DOESN'T Care About Winning. Only $$$ and Ego. Facts:

Actions speak louder than words in my book, and let's look at the man's actions. He can preach winning, but money and ego are more important...look at the record:

a) An incredibly successful businessman who has probably run his life by quarterly reports and demanded that his managers produce...So why would he continue to do things the same way, or allow subordinated NOT to produce?...ANSWER: He wouldn't if winning was his real priority. Unfortunately they are actually his ego, and making revenue on the team. There is no way that one would allow for a performance like what happened in Philly to be tolerated if winnign were really the key.

b) Statements like "I like having these reporters around...we are in the news..."...Obviously a team cannot win when presented with distractions like that so why would you allow for them to happen so you can be "in the news"?...ANSWER: The buzz generates interest and staying in the news creates revenue.

c) Removing Jimmy Johnson, and making a move that "probably" lead to Parcells leaving by getting Owens...Building a dynasty was not good enough Jerry, YOU needed to be the man in front???...ANSWER:He wanted credit. He got it early on, but then Jimmy's star surpassed him. That is why he began wrestling with Switzer during the last super bowl trophy ceremony. Parcells was getting credit for a turn around so Jerry needed to make a splash....you got one brother

d) Weekly press conferences from a GM...Why???...ANSWER: Jerry needs to be the face of the team, and when the face of your franchise is your owner YOU ARE IN TROUBLE (see Oakland for further review). Can any of you even recall what the Murchison family looked like? How about Landry, Dorsett, etc...understand my point

e) Doing it "The Jerry Way" has produced NO playoff wins in 12 years (the ONLY NFC East team not to have at least one), a 105-107 record, numerous coaches and assistants, and move sthat are widely seen as stupid across the league...So why would you let this continue if winning were the key?...ANSWER: It isn't. He just tells us what he thinks the fans want to hear. Actions Jerry, not words.

Bottom line is that you can say you want to win more than anything, BUT his actions do not reflect that.

HE wants to win if HE gets credit, and only by doing it HIS way. It's his team...he can do what he wants with it, but DO NOT BUY IN TO THIS CRAP ABOUT HIM WANTING TO WIN more than anything...he just wants to make money and he wants the fame.

He has succeeded in that, but will not have any rings for a while...which is probably his last concern...the sad thing is that if he really let football people run the show that winning would bring in money as well, but without him getting credit he won't do it.

I know I am missing several others, but I hopefully my point is understood. rom this point out despite the fact I will never drop in my support of this team, I will understand that Jerry Jones' words about winning are simply not true.

Actually, he cares quite a bit about winning. He just doesn't know when to get out of the way. There's a reason Donald Trump doesn't personally draw up the blueprints of the buildings he finances.

No doubt about it!!! I'll never understand how any Boyz fan can say that JJ doesn't care about winning.. It's so far from the truth. He's made some bad moves but he damn sure wants to win...

Couldn't have said it any better. Your point is well taken though, QB coach.

His one big mistake is announcing to everyone the buck stops with him. Doesn't he understand the basic principal that doing that undercuts his staff?

Amen Brother, spot on!

Jerry the owner needs to fire Jerry the GM ASAP!

How long would Jerry have lasted on any other team (that he did not own) as a GM???

If you have read anything about Jerry from his wildcatting days in oil, he dealt directly with the geologists and didn't have "managers" making decisions for him.

However, Jerry is a man who has succeeded at every level of life. To suggest to him that he needs to let someone else drive is absured.

And stick around. All teams have performances like the Philly game. If you think otherwise my first question is: Was this your first season watching football?

b) Statements like "I like having these reporters around...we are in the news..."...Obviously a team cannot win when presented with distractions like that so why would you allow for them to happen so you can be "in the news"?...ANSWER: The buzz generates interest and staying in the news creates revenue.

True. And this is a business. revenue allows for things like...oh, I don't know....free agents? Pay raises for Ware. We are stakeholders in Jerry's team by being fans. We better hope he makes money. If he doesn't they will be playing in last year's stained uniforms.

c) Removing Jimmy Johnson, and making a move that "probably" lead to Parcells leaving by getting Owens...Building a dynasty was not good enough Jerry, YOU needed to be the man in front???...ANSWER:He wanted credit. He got it early on, but then Jimmy's star surpassed him. That is why he began wrestling with Switzer during the last super bowl trophy ceremony. Get this right. Jimmy walked in to quit. Jerry tried valiantly to talk him out of it and ended up giving the bozo 2 million. Even Jimmy has admitted that.

Am I going to read about how mistreated Landry was by Jerry next in this thread?

At least get your facts right.

d) Weekly press conferences from a GM...Why???...ANSWER: Jerry needs to be the face of the team, and when the face of your franchise is your owner YOU ARE IN TROUBLE (see Oakland for further review). Can any of you even recall what the Murchison family looked like? How about Landry, Dorsett, etc...understand my point

No, that is the face of the GM. he wears two hats. If you can't see them, then think of it this way. When he is in the box he is the owner. When he has a mircophone stuck in his gob, or is walking the sidelines he is the GM.

e) Doing it "The Jerry Way" has produced NO playoff wins in 12 years (the ONLY NFC East team not to have at least one), a 105-107 record, numerous coaches and assistants, and move sthat are widely seen as stupid across the league...So why would you let this continue if winning were the key?...ANSWER: It isn't. He just tells us what he thinks the fans want to hear. Actions Jerry, not words.

How many Super Bowl titles do the Titans own? Eagles? Cards? Detroit? Seattle? Panthers? Bengals? Browns? Vikings? Falcons? ect...

Regardless of your comments that it was Jimmy alone, if Jerry didn't make the Haley trade nehind Jimbo's back, we wouldn't have won three.

Jerry has three rings. Partly because of Jimmy. Some because of him. A lionshare because of the players involved. But Jerry is in that list.

Owners want to profit. I will not deny. But if you do not see Jerry spending the money, and as much as he does, and still think he is about profit, then you need to look harder, my friend. He could keep the money in his pocket.

Bottom line is that you can say you want to win more than anything, BUT his actions do not reflect that.

Yes they do. he spends far more than he has to to get results. It is simple math.

HE wants to win if HE gets credit, and only by doing it HIS way. It's his team...he can do what he wants with it, but DO NOT BUY IN TO THIS CRAP ABOUT HIM WANTING TO WIN more than anything...he just wants to make money and he wants the fame.

Let go of the anger. The team has won 5 championships in 49 years. Do the math. That is less than 10% of the time. So there will be times when we do not win for years. That is the nature of the beast.

Ranting will not change that.

He has succeeded in that, but will not have any rings for a while...which is probably his last concern...the sad thing is that if he really let football people run the show that winning would bring in money as well, but without him getting credit he won't do it.

So of all the teams lusted above who let "football people" run their organizations, Jerry has three more rings than all of them put together.

I know I am missing several others, but I hopefully my point is understood. rom this point out despite the fact I will never drop in my support of this team, I will understand that Jerry Jones' words about winning are simply not true.

I get it, I do not agree. And if you would set aside emotion and look at this thing in reality - they pay the other team too - then you will note that the ball is pointy and bounces funny...sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes it eats you...and we have a better winning record in the SB except for two teams. And Jerry is one of the reasons for that.

Wrong. Jerry had nothing to do with the first two trophies, and very little to do with the last three. He just thinks he did.

Our last Super Bowl was 13 years ago ... going on 14 by the start of next season. Our last playoff win was 12 years ago.

What have you done for me lately???
