It's never been more clear to me than right now... Jerry doesn't know what to do.

He didn't know what to do in FA. So he did little to nothing.
He didn't know what to do with renewing contracts, so he drug it out and made mistakes.
He didn't know what to do with MM, so he hemmed and hawed until MM got so fed up he just said *** it.
Now he doesn't know what to do with the new HC. And if you are seriously considering the candidates he's interviewed, that is clear!

He is completely lost.

This franchise is a hot mess!

Jerry knows what he's doing. He's trying to set a new trend for HC contracts. He believes they should be paid based on team performance. Of course, the FO and players are exempt from this expectation.
That's not a bad idea. Short contracts that hold you accountable.......you win, your in....you lose, you're out. Kinda like in the real world that most of us live in.

Jerry's decline is very similar to the downfall of Al Davis. The only difference being, Al Davis was actually a "football guy" at one time. I have given up all hope that Jerry will ever put aside his mega ego, and do what is right for the Cowboys, by installing a real GM, and hiring a top notch head coach and staff. The closest we came was the short lived Bill Parcells era. I have even less faith that Stephen will not follow in his father's foolish footsteps, and continue to tarnish our once proud franchise. I will continue to root for the Cowboys, but my disdain for the Jones family will burn forever!

Sounds fine if you're the one making the decisions. In Dallas your performance is tied to Jerry's performance.

Imagine signing an incentive deal with Jerry and then he goes out gives you Dak and a busted up RB and does nothing in free agency to improve the team...

He’s not willing to do what needs to be done because he doesn’t want to pay for it

I know people say Jerry doesn't care about the fans but I'd have a hard time believing that he hasn't heard the blowback. I think he cares....a little...and Stephen doesn't give a hoot at all and is the one trying to put together these discount packages because he thinks he's the money man. I mean the fought over Deion coming here as a player.

So fans wanted MM gone.
They got what they wanted.

Now Jerry is taking his time to hire the next HC. Rather fans will agree with that decision or not. Most will not, only so they can complain about Jerry.

Now it is taking longer than many fans like, so they complain Jerry doesn't care or know what to do.

Fans are fickle. :lmao:
