I doubt that Romo would coach.
I dont know. Seems like the Witten stuff is a real thing and there may be a plan in place in a couple of years. I could see it.

But...Romo has a good job and likes to golf...so maybe im off in my thinking.

That's not a bad idea. Short contracts that hold you accountable.......you win, your in....you lose, you're out. Kinda like in the real world that most of us live in.
Too bad that doesn’t apply to our GM.

Team has not made a Title game since dinosaurs roamed the DFW area, but our GM still has a job.

Wish I could be a total F-up at my job and have zero accountability.

Now Jerry is taking his time to hire the next HC. Rather fans will agree with that decision or not. Most will not, only so they can complain about Jerry.
He is not “taking his time” for the right reasons. Dallas has only interviewed one of the top candidates (Saleh) and only 4 candidates overall which would be the lowest out of all 7 teams with HC vacancies.

Jerry simply has no idea what he is doing at this point. You really think Schottenheimer is the best possible coaching hire if you are serious about winning?

This is a pretty epic display of malpractice by Jerry.

It's never been more clear to me than right now... Jerry doesn't know what to do.

He didn't know what to do in FA. So he did little to nothing.
He didn't know what to do with renewing contracts, so he drug it out and made mistakes.
He didn't know what to do with MM, so he hemmed and hawed until MM got so fed up he just said *** it.
Now he doesn't know what to do with the new HC. And if you are seriously considering the candidates he's interviewed, that is clear!

He is completely lost.
That's when you hire a GM.

:hammer: I honestly don't think this entire organization has one guy that is a true football guy...that understands scheme...Xs and Os....QB play...understands the draft...free agency...or the Cap. It's just that obvious this ship has no captain.

But you cant make sense of it.

This board hates regulation and wants to be able to do what it wants....yet all yall are complaining like you want some regulation from the league to prevent this.

Its a league issue. the owners run the league through goodell. goodell isnt going to do anything.

jerry's team is the cash cow experiment for the league. its bad for existence

jerry is probably a great dude....but he has monetized football to the point that it is sad for everyone but his immediate family, whom probably want the cash cow to continue.

So fans wanted MM gone.
They got what they wanted.

Now Jerry is taking his time to hire the next HC. Rather fans will agree with that decision or not. Most will not, only so they can complain about Jerry.

Now it is taking longer than many fans like, so they complain Jerry doesn't care or know what to do.

Fans are fickle. :lmao:
This has nothing to do with "taking his time". I'm all for that. Take your time, interview 10+ candidates. You need to get this right. Nothing I said has to do with taking his time here.

It's about a lack of vision. Clarity. Knowing what you're doing and executing.

Mike McCarthy should have left and that decision should have been made at seasons end. Decisive.

Our coaching search should have serious candidates who can take this team into the playoffs and beyond.

Not Brian Schottenheimer. Not Leslie Frasier. Not Robert Saleh.

he has to be trolling us, or has dementia, nothing else can explain how he totally screwed up the HC process. Now even Saleh is going to Jacksonville for an interview.

Coach, you're the one person I would have positively thought against incentive contracts.

Too many things the head coach can't control. I wouldn't take any job where my financial interest is tied to others availability and performance.

One bad call by a zebra (Dez catch( would cost me big time.

Players are paid no matter how they perform; coaches should be too.
