Jerry happy at RB but won't rule out Jonathan Taylor

The Jones Boys always follow a script….”We like our guys but we won’t rule out acquiring ______.”

But it was important though. Pacheco and McKinnon were running all over Philly.
Absolutely.

You don't need a great RB, no, but you do need a tough yards RB, a guy who pounds the LOS and gets a couple even when there's nothing there. You can find that guy on almost every super bowl team, though on Philly Hurts did that for them. Got him hurt, of course, and will again.

No thanks please its too much contract drama and he didn't look like the same player last year. You can tell when RBs are cooked and he looks finished.

Jerry is in denial again, or still. How can any one be happy with the RB situation. I am not impressed at all.
I hope I am wrong. But so far 2023 RB situation is like the 2022 WR situation.
Shaky at best.

package a few players, maybe even a few draft picks, and trade for Taylor. But no way give up a 1 or a 2 round pick.
I imagine Jerry realizes the RB situation isn't great behind Pollard, but he isn't going to say that publicly.

The Cowboys can't have EVERYTHING. Would be better signing/trading for a veteran/decent backup swing O-lineman. Only thing needed right now (with eyes on a Kicker of course)...
If we just "fix" our o-line and run a better scheme...we're fine at RB.

If we expect the RB to constantly pick up slack...we'll be screwed...again.

Pollard is our lead back is outplayed Taylor last year.
Pollard literally walked off the field in games in the 4th quarter and told the coaches he was tired.

That is not a lead back.

And Taylor was injured last year and had a horrible team.

I disagree. Hurts got tough yardage because of those QB sneaks and wide open lanes from his line. I think it’s outdated think g to think Pollard can’t get those yards. He for sure can.

That was a report on one game and I think it was a bit overblown.

If you look at his splits from 2022, he had a 6.8 Y/C average in the 4th quarter--amazingly productive.

Anyway, I don't think we need a bell cow. Committee with Pollard getting the lion' share is optimal.

I need to see all these bell cow RB's who are leading teams to SB wins... we have some here who can not get out of the 90's

The only thing more dumb than drafting a RB in the first round is trading a first round pick for one.

At least if you draft one in the 1st you have him on a cheap rookie contract.

I still believe Dallas should have addressed this position (RB2) in the last draft. This is a weak spot.

Quarterbacks are for that. But we don't have one of those either.
