I mean he really is. I wouldn't advocate trading for a running back but if a guy thinks his team is right at the door step of a SB and he goes out on get Taylor I would not say that's stupid at all.
We got Dak
Run game is not needed
Its a throwing league
We got Dak

Every GM in the league is going to say the same thing. It's JT not some no-name.
Jerry usually doesn’t say that this far into the preseason. He shows confidence in the players he has. It’s the we like our guys mentality. He’s not about to pay a lot of money for a back who’s coming off a down year after a ton of carries.

It’s a few posters on this site who need to change their name. Joking never laughs and never tells jokes…..and your name is visionary but never know what the hell you’re talking about. A run game is not needed….just silly.

Yeah, if your QB is Mahomes, a run game is not as important.

I would certainly entertain the idea of trading for him, he is very good and exactly the type of RB we need, but don't currently have.
That being said, I would not over pay for him in a trade and I certainly wouldn't pay JT the kind of $ he's looking for. If he's still dreaming about $16+million/yr he's goin be disappointed.

He wants a new contract. Pass. The value add for him at a top contract is nil.

Ya I wish that mofo would just shut up for a change. No I think we’re good at that position and we aren’t giving up draft capital for an expensive RB.

Would that be that hard Jerry ?
I wish people would shut up about Jerry shutting up...

The more I think about this, the more I think it could happen.

I'm going to say 50/50 chance, as of now. Just think Pollard, Taylor, Vaughn as your backfield.

We'd be almost unstoppable. I get giddy just thinking about it.

Taylor is just a bad move for Jerry.

One, it would cost you draft assets. Two, because you spent some decent draft assets to get him, Jerry would want to sign him. And that means another really stupid RB contract.

No. This is actually a very easy decision. Just say no.

Jerry has zero intention of getting taylor. it would require draft capital. he could have signed Cook if he was serious.
this is jerry just generating headlines to keep eye on cowboys. in his mind he is going cha ching. he is dreaming about Tylor Jersey sales.

Jerry is in denial again, or still. How can any one be happy with the RB situation. I am not impressed at all.
I hope I am wrong. But so far 2023 RB situation is like the 2022 WR situation.
Shaky at best.

package a few players, maybe even a few draft picks, and trade for Taylor. But no way give up a 1 or a 2 round pick.
i would just give a # 1 and call it a day. With what we would pay our #1 pick next year (w/ signing bonus and salary) it is worth it. i like the 2 headed monster in the backfield. Take the pressure off Dak as well.

Trading away picks and handing out record contracts to a guy that is on the last year of his rookie contract. Seems like something we would do.
