Jerry has no idea how to build a team

2026 is coming and more of the same. This franchise has already been eliminated from the 2026 season as it was in 2025 but my fellow Dallas fans mocked/ridiculed for stating the obvious.

Will McClay has been POOR the past 5 years. This team has zero depth and it is showing on the field.
This franchise has spent so much resources on OL / DL. And because of this, the secondary ( LB, CB and Safety) has really suffered.

A fan of any pro sports team would love an owner like George Steinbrenner. The man hated losing. For a time there I thought that we were lucky to have an owner that would do anything to win. Jerry would go out and acquire any top player either through trade or free agency.

When you do that, you make mistakes. Jerry made some bad trades. He made some bad decisions acquiring players and moving up in the draft. That doesn't mean you should give up and stop trying altogether. Which is basically what Jerry did after the 2012 season. Why did he stop caring about winning?

What we have now is a GM that takes very little risk, and runs a vanilla standard operating procedure that any novice could duplicate. Build through the draft with an occasional low grade trade. Make a splash trade only when desperate. Then on draft night do absolutely nothing but the occasional trade back when asked. Very amateurish. As if they're afraid, or don't know what they're doing.

The team actually met the expectations everyone else had for them. But because the Jones thought they built a contender, they’re legitimately surprised.

Most of the people I talk sports to were predicting 6-9 wins. Which is where we'll be. I predicted 7 preseason.

Yes they do. I've seen post after post on this site and the other over the years showing the exact opposite of what you're saying. Our own BobHaze would do a much better job than Jerry, and it's not close.
 
30 years have proven that to everyone in the world except for Jerrah.

Rodger Goodell has to love some Cowboys.

Having a team with a 30 year losing streak that still leads the league in viewership and profitability.

That is damn near every team could have won the SB once, to make their fan base stronger and their are no signs of it slowing down.

And/or he can do it without Jimmy. And every year he fails is just more confirmation that it was Jimmy.
 
The 49ers give Jerry no excuses outside of, "We didn't have Mccaffrey for a whole year." They lost both their WRs, a pro bowl linebacker, Bosa and even their QB for a period and they still are going to make the playoffs.

The term “stupid” exists because humans needed a way to describe something that is clearly illogical or incoherent. Therefore, calling a post stupid is not an insult. It is a statement about the post itself, not about you.

Good management isn't just about the decisions that work.

It's much more about the bad decisions that hamper and restrict your organization from achieving its goals in relation to competition.

That's called learning a lesson and continuous improvement.
