I think they just got a player who they really liked during the draft for future purposes. He is still under rookie contract through 2026. I highly doubt they got him to help with this season.

This is yet another example of a mistake the Joneses make. How many times do we hear 'they were high on the player at the draft or they had a high grade on him'.

Well how about adjusting the grade for the players performance once in the NFL Do they ever do that?

There is no way a team that is 3-5 thinks trading a 4th rounder for a guy who cant even crack the Carolina starting lineup is a move for now right? Jerry has to be trolling this fan base using this team as his personal play thing at this point.

After the off-season which he lied multiple times to the fan base, signed 2 guys to record setting deals at the end of the off-season, let 8 starting players leave without replacing them and then acted shocked when the team isnt doing well, he has to absolutely be doing this on purpose at this point. There is no rhyme or reason to anything he is doing. It makes no logical sense.

Maybe he has been told this is his last year in charge and he is just messing around now? I dont know.
