Any chance he's learned yet that you have to for super bowl contention?

I mean, it's become quite obvious by this time that his way doesn't work. Pathetically trying to remain relevant. That is the way to remain relevant, not the way to the super bowl.

I don't even think Jerry knows what a Superbowl is, with all the money floating around his brain, he sees it as a banquet of people gathering to play a football game, and HOW can he make the most money without playing in that football game!!

Nope, we are just staying relevant and hanging around the rim.......
Can't teach old dogs new tricks.
His recent HC hire just reinforces this.
We are doomed until he steps down.

Jerry doesn't want to have to buy extra playoff tickets for road playoff games to watch his team and he certainly doesn't want to have to buy Super Bowl tickets, not to mention airfare, hotels, cabs, food, etc.

Going to a Super Bowl is not a priority for Jerry. Especially when his team remains #1 on Forbe's list.
Another fan in here said championships are over rated as long as the owner of a losing team makes more money than the winning SB team.

I just wonder how winning a SB would affect the money making of that former losing team...

But yeah..."championships are over rated" smdh

Only in the Zone, lol
Cowboys!

nope.
he's going to continue his way.
because he thinks it produced those 3 titles and will again.
our only chance is to win "around" him.
get hot at the right time.
catch lightnin' in a bottle kinda thing.
i'm not expecting it.
best his way goes is a 10,11 or 12 win team that wins the east, makes the post season and gets beat in the div round.
until proven other wise...its all i expect.
win the east.
at least do that.

no way he has learned. if anything he is even more stubbord. there was a time that perhaps he was still interested and made moves, that didn't necessarily mean more money, i.e. trading for Roy Williams, which all the coaches on the team were against doing, but as a GM he didn't see he didn't fit the cowboys...and then trading for cooper, which was a good move because we had a bunch of #3 WRs playing and it was a weak point, proved that it was what we needed, went on winning streak and playoffs.

but when it comes to FA, he is stubbord. won't spend really, except his own and often its ROI related. Dak was top 5 in jersey sales and given Jerry and Cowboys are the only ones in the NFL pocketing Jersey sales, he loved it. same with CD and that's why Parsons will get resigned for whatever dollars because he was top three in Jersey sales one year. no way jerry lets that get away.

he has built in cost control with the cap. and as long as we are Pseudo competitive, he is happy. in fact he loves it more than sucking really bad or being really good.

does he want to win a superbowl? yes. of course. but its not his top priority nor his ego allows him to let it go to somebody else and do it and perhaps succeed which will make him look bad.

he did say he was surprised we didn't get to superbowl this year....which gave me a good laugh

that's what jerry likes. just being Pseudo competitive. why?

if we suck, fans are not interested. costs him media attention and money. think earlier in the year
if we are really good, fans are egstatic, but nay sayers go away and haters don't pay attention.....which costs him media attention.

if we are in the middle, hanging around the rim as you said, pseudo competitive, both sides are engaged. there is hope for fans, there is fodder for haters and nay sayers and he gets the most attention. its good for business.
the cowboys were on national TV 17 games this season. and were 2nd most watched!!!! that blows my mind, but speaks to the brilliance of jerry marketing machine. not his football prowess.

I think it was me. I meant it as sarcastic remark. Jerry cares about championships, but its not his top priority. making money is his goal and if looking at it from that measure, his eyes, he is succeeding. from fans perspective it sucks.

Yup,
I got you man.
My bad on the sarcasm miss.
I'm normally very tuned in sarcastically speaking.
