I think it’s clear Jerry is not willing to invest more in the team this year and is riding with what we have. Chances are Jerry lets the year play out and then cleans the slate—McCarthy et al gone. I still can’t figure out why he signed Dak, though.

Faith: Belief in the absence of proof.
That's the Cowboys strategy when it comes to acquiring talent for this team and the ability of this team to win?

Wasn't it "confidence" just before the season? Now he's down to wishful thinking?

"Let's get this thing turned around and have a storybook ending to a rough start."

Jerry, these storybook endings are written for fairy tales, not professional, competitive sports.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan: "I have a lot of faith in these players. I have a lot of faith in this coaching staff. ... We'll have some players coming back (from injury) that will play critical roles for us. We ought to get better. Seventeen-game season, lets get this thing turned around and have a storybook ending to a rough start."

Jerry is so full of ****, even his bull**** is bull****.

Storybook ending incoming.
A win against Atlanta... and we're having a great season again. On Jerry's planet.

I'm glad you wrote that last sentence. Because to be honest nothing of the stuff you mentioned before makes sense with that last sentence in mind.

You either resign your QB1 because you think you have a shot at the Superbowl. But then you truly go all in and surround him with enough talent. Especially with a working run game. You even invest your draft picks.

Or you don't think this team can make it. In that case you don't resign a 31 year old QB with a horrible play off history but go into rebuild mode. Trade your veterans or let them ride out their contracts and start over.

Neither has happened so ***??

There are many Dak First fans on here that would disagree. How many times do we we hear from them, "he's a top 10 QB.....it's difficult to find a top QB, look at the Giants, Pats etc."

Im with you, you either go big behind a QB that can carry the offense (without the need for costly: draft/CAP weapons) or you build the team from foundations and armchair your (more limited) QB ala Dak in 2016.

Good.

When it comes to football knowledge and decission making Jerry Jones is unerringly constant and with absolute self-confidence on the wrong side.

If for nothing else that he says thats a constant we all can trust.

To be fair to Jerry, he couldnt really say anything else, he's the one that kept the coaching team and signed the CeeDee and Dak checks.
