I seem to have a vague recollection of us winning either two or three playoff games at home in the last 25 years. Let me see if I have this right? I recall beating Philly to end the season and then again at home in a playoff game. I recall beating Detroit in large part due to some horrible refereeing that went against Detroit (lol). And, we beat Seattle and Wilson at home one playoff game I believe. Is that right or is my memory not serving me well? I'm still suffering from pain from the GB playoff game road loss. Who could forget that garbage game?

You got it right we’ve won 3 home playoff games since 09. We beat Philly, Detroit and Seattle. Even our great 90s teams couldn’t win a road playoff game except for the 92 NFC championship game. We lost on the road a couple of years later in the 94 NFC title game and we lost to Carolina in the playoffs on the road in 96.

I don’t think it matters. I got a feeling that they are going to cancel the season.
Anything is possible but that probability is as remote as the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot. Probably smaller.

I firmly disagree. Yesterday was a tragedy but there have been other issues across other sports, including college, where there have been similar tragedies. Further, there really wasn't anything that was noticible on tape from the hit that could have prevented the injury (to the naked eye at least) and we need to wait to see if there was an underlying condition.

A lot of factors to be considered for sure....but there is zero chance the most lucrative, most highly visible sport in the country is going to cancel the season over a fluke injury...not trying to sound calace but there is far too much money involved across many stakeholders (including all the players) for that to happen.

I am sure he does, for the revenue and press attention.

Cowboys fans want it for a completely different reason.

I'd rather we play on the road. That way we only disappoint a few of our fans who show up to the game on the road. Vs disappointing more fans who stupidly pay to come watch them lose at home.

No doubt.

Good to see you finally coming around to reality.
Still don't get Risen do you..As long as I've been on this board,Risen's always been real,he just knows how to trigger people, which I think is funny as hell when I see people act all pissed off at his comments.

Trying to remember, but didn’t a Vikings lineman die in the preseason practice field?

I hate to be cynical, but the lawyers are going to be the ones that have the largest input on what happens going forward. The financial advisors will be a close second.

Jerry, is saying he wants the money for a Playoff game. We'll, suck it up Jerry haha...I'd to see the Cowboys make a run all on the road.

He hasn't delivered anything yet. The playoffs haven't even started. That is what he got hired for.

12 or 13 wins won't mean anything if they lose to TB12.

This.

I mean Garrett did the same basic thing 2014 2016. A 12 win, 4 win and 13 win season.
McCarthy's off year was his first.
Same thing.(so far)

back in the 70s...a lions player died on the field vs the chicago bears...late oct or nov game.
he suffered a heart attack that was caused by scar tissue he didn't know he had.
and there was a bills pre season game not that long ago where an ambulance was brought on the field.
i think 2 bills players collided into each other.

Talk to your hand picked coaching staff, Jerry that blew two double digit second half leads.

We all long for another SB, even if it’s a loss that leaves us all blaming the coaches, players, and owners.
But…..I would be overjoyed at this point to win two playoff games and make an NFC championship game appearance. Some fans will call that settling, but that’s how we all felt in the 70’s after struggling in big games several times, and it’s how we felt in the 90’s after almost 2 decades of watching the skins and Giants winning SBs. With the injuries we’ve had to key players at key positions, I’d be thrilled.

Best case scenario is Dallas beats Washington. Eagles lose to giants. SF beats ARI.

Dallas gets the 2 seed and a home game. I don’t think this team can mentally take a week off. And the odds are pretty high against winning 3 road playoff games
And possibly play Aaron Rodgers? Nah, this team already showed us what would most likely happen. Not only that, but I’m certain they want to play us because they see that as an easy win. What they don’t want is to face the 49ers.

Yeah Jerry and we want some decent investment in DT instead of the WR position.
